*O ALLAH! We beseech You to Honour us with the honour of the QUR'AN. O ALLAH! Guide us and lead us to the truth and the straight path. By the sanctity of the QUR'AN and by the sanctity of the one You have sent as a mercy to all the worlds.*

O ALLAH, We beseech You for a mercy from You by which You guide my heart, make my affairs go on well, repair the disorder of my affairs, order well my unseen deeds, accept my seen deeds, purify my actions, direct me in the right way, and deliver me from every evil.

O ALLAH! We beseech You to Grant my soul taqwa (piety) and purify it, for You are the Best to purify it. You are it's protector and it's guardian. I seek refuge in You from knowledge that does not benefit, from a heart that is not humbled, from a soul that is not satisfied and from supplication that is not answered.

May ALLAH accept our dua.

O ALLAH: We beseech You By Your will and infinite mercy, make our hearts more sincere towards faith, free from disbelief, bestow us a truthful tongue, make life more and more easier for us and protect us against those who plan evil toward us.

O ALLAH, we submit ourselves to you and we implore You for Your wisdom and guidance. Help us walk in righteousness and integrity so that You may always be pleased with us. Put a hedge of safety around us, protect our bodies, minds and emotions from any kind of evil and harm. Pe*****te our hearts with Your love and reverence today and always. We pray that we never stray from the path of deen and that You give us a future filled with your best promises.

*Friday Sermon Summary 4th February 2022: ‘Rightly Guided Caliphs – Hazrat Abu Bakr (ra)’*

After reciting Tashahhud, Ta’awwuz and Surah al-Fatihah, His Holiness, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad (aba) said that he would continue highlighting incidents from the life of Hazrat Abu Bakr (ra).

*The Battle of Banu Quraizah*

His Holiness (aba) said that Hazrat Abu Bakr (ra) also took part in the Battle of Banu Quraizah. Whilst setting out towards Banu Quraizah, Hazrat Abu Bakr (ra) and Hazrat Umar (ra) suggested to the Holy Prophet (sa) that if he donned a cloak given to him which was considered beautiful by worldly standards, then people would be more inclined towards accepting Islam. The Holy Prophet (sa) accepted their suggestion, saying that he would not refuse a matter which they both agreed upon. The Holy Prophet (sa) said that God had likened the two of them to the angels Gabriel and Michael, and from the prophets like Noah (as) and Abraham (as).

His Holiness (aba) said that during this time, all the Muslims had to eat were dates that were sent for them. It was seen that the Holy Prophet (sa), Hazrat Abu Bakr (ra) and Hazrat Umar (ra) were also eating dates, and the Holy Prophet (sa) said that dates are an excellent thing to eat.

His Holiness (aba) said that based on a dream in which he saw himself walking around the Ka’bah, the Holy Prophet (sa) set out along with 1,400 companions towards the Ka’bah. However, the Holy Prophet (sa) learned that the Makkans planned to stop the Muslims from entering. When the Holy Prophet (sa) consulted with the companions, Hazrat Abu Bakr (ra) said that they should continue as their intention was not to fight, and if anyone tried to stop them, then they would defend themselves.

*The Treaty of Hudaibiyah*

His Holiness (aba) said that at the time of the Treaty of Hudaibiyah, Urwah went to the Holy Prophet (sa) to negotiate terms. He said to the Holy Prophet (sa) that if the Quraish were victorious, then the companions would abandon

O ALLAH! We beseech You to Never let our heart be disturbed by the trials of life, open the doors of Your mercy to us, ease our ways of life, accept our worship, Forgive our sins and grant us favour in everything we do, And never forsake us in this world and hereafter.

Surah Al-Jumua (Q62:10)

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِذَا نُودِيَ لِلصَّلَاةِ مِن يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ فَاسْعَوْا إِلَىٰ ذِكْرِ اللَّهِ وَذَرُوا الْبَيْعَ ذَٰلِكُمْ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ

O ye who believe! when the call is made for prayer on Friday, hasten to the remembrance of Allah, and leave off business. That is best for you, if you knew.

Deliverance from sin lies in perfect conviction.

Everyone who is purified, through firmness of conviction. It is conviction which gives you the strength to bear hardships, even to the extent of persuading a king to abdicate his royal throne and take to the life of a mendicant. Conviction dissolves all difficulties. Conviction enables a man to see God. All ideas of any atoning sacrifice are false, for every kind of purity comes only from firm conviction. The only thing which delivers a man from sin, and advances him in sincerity and steadfastness, far ahead of the angels themselves, is conviction and conviction alone. All religions which fail to create this firmness of conviction are false. All religions which fail to show God by means beyond any shadow of doubt are false; and all those religions are false which contain nothing more than a handful of tales and fables about what happened in the past.

O ALLAH! We beseech You to Distance us from our mistakes as You have distanced the East from the West. Purge our sins from us the way a white cloth is purified from filth; cleanse us from our sins with the (purity of) water, snow and hail. You are the Forgiving (AL-AFFUW), and You love to forgive, so please forgive us.

May ALLAH be please with us.

O ALLAH! We beseech You for the bounty which You have begun in our lives - complete it. The generosity which You have given us - strip it not away. You cover over us through Your clemency - tear it not away.
Our ugly acts which You have always known - forgive them.

May ALLAH be pleased with us and accept our dua.

TARBIYYA FOR TODAY

*TOPIC:* Unconditional Obedience to Khilafat

When we reflect upon this, we will find that our standard of obedience is lacking; at times, we show half-hearted obedience because the matters are against our wishes. Obedience is the pre-condition of Khilafat, obedience is the lifeline of the moral and spiritual existence of the believers and striving to excel in the standard of obedience is extremely important for a believer. The Holy Prophet (sa) even said that, ‘One who obeys the Ameer, appointed by me, in fact, obeys me and one who obeys me, in fact, obeys God the Exalted and one who disobeys the Ameer, appointed by me, in fact, disobeys me and my disobedience equates to the disobedience of God the Exalted.” Hence, the obedience of the Khalifa of the time is much more important than the obedience of a general Ameer.

O ALLAH: We beseech You to surrender myself to You, I direct myself towards You, I entrust my affairs to You, so keep me safe, with the preservation of belief, from in front of me, from behind me, from my right side, from my left side, from above me, from below me, and repel (evil) from me with Your strength and power, because, verily, there is no strength and no power that's beyond ALLAH, the high, the great.
