Also, letās remember that we are soon entering into the very Metal season, Fall, so itās always a good idea to check for these signs and notice if we need extra care in this changing moment.

Did you know that your vagus nerve holds the key to lowering cortisol levels and keeping your nervous system in check?āØ
The vagus nerve is like a superhighway between your brain and body, promoting relaxation and balance.
When you activate it with simple practices ā like deep breathing, humming, or eating the right foods ā you stimulate your bodyās ārest and digestā response, reducing stress hormones like cortisolšæ
Swipe through to discover the best foods to nourish your vagus nerve and bring calm into your everyday lifeš¼
Itās time for a changeāØ
I donāt even know how many times I have heard people around me telling me that they feel anxious and stressed out during this seasonal change.
Moving from Summer to Fallš can be pretty daunting, much harder than moving from Spring into Summerāļø
š„µWe might feel:
ā¢ stressed & anxious
ā¢ overwhelmed
ā¢ unhappy
ā¢ overwhelmed with a sense of malinconia
ā¢ sad and at times a little depressed
ā¦ and thatās why I have decided to create this e-book āShine through the Seasonsā - itās a series dedicated to all of the elements and how we can support ourselves through these seasonal shifts.
šIt will help you with:
ā¢ feeling happier and in control over your emotions
ā¢ establish healthy eating habits in transition periods
ā¢ support your energy shifts while moving into Fall
ā¢ taking care of yourself daily without overwhelm
ā¢ falling in love with Autumn
ā¢ start or restart your Yoga practice
ā¢ lower your cortisol levels and regulate your nervous system
This e-book will be all dedicated to the Metal Element: you will be able to recognise if your Metal Element is balanced or out of whack š
, how to restore equilibrium, what to eat to support your lungs and large intestine, which Yoga practices and Meditations can help you along.

5 signs your nervous system is relaxing:
š”¼ yawning
š”¼ feeling sleepy
š”¼ body tingles
š”¼ sighing
š”¼ shoulders drop
A regulated nervous system has incredible benefits for our body and our minds. Obviously, daily life is full of stressors and we canāt avoid all of themš
But there are ways to cope with them..
This is a simple body scan exercise that can help relax your nervous system in the present moment:
ā¢ sit down comfortably
ā¢ close your eyes
ā¢ start relaxing all of your muscles (start from your feet and work your way up)
ā¢ slow breathing through your nose, paying attention to its rhythm.
If you can, do this for about 15 to 20 minutes and notice the change you feel in your body, mind and soul.
Our emotional health is linked to our physical health and viceversa.
In TCM and Macrobiotic each emotion is connected to a set organ and the weaker a particular organ system is, the more susceptible one is to experiencing associated emotions.
For example, you know that say that goes āworry makes you sick to your stomachā?! Well, digestive issues are often linked to overthinking, worrying, feeling anxious..
Same goes for āI am so mad it eats my liverā (literal translation from an Italian saying š
) but the liver is in charge of the free flow of Qi and itās also linked to the emotion of anger and frustrationā¦
Learning how to take care of our organs and emotions is the ultimate expression of self-careš¤
Thatās why I have created a simple practical TCM and Macrobiotic guide to shed some light on this topic and share with you simple ways to take care of them dailyā¤ļø

Come back to yourselfš¤
I started my Yoga journey (both on and off the mat) in Sri Lanka.
Thatās where I took my first YTT and remotely my Masters in Macrobiotic, tiptoeing into TCM as well. Everything and everywhere around me was bringing me back to myself but also to nature.
Sri Lanka is a very spiritual country which made it āeasierā for me to be totally absorbed and absorbing all I had around.
Once I left, pieces of me stayed back and this deeper connecting I had with nature got a bit lost. With it, many other parts of me changed, or better, went back to old patterns, emotional shifting, memories of beings I didnāt want to be anymore stuck to me, and no, I am not that proud of that.
I looked for so many ways, I tried so many ways, getting curious and turning my head one too many times towards different ways of healing and being.
What I forgot though is that, I have it all within me.
Western culture makes it harder to see beyond whatās to the eye. Makes it harder to connect with your natural environment and living in alignment with nature.
It makes it harder but it doesnāt make it impossible.
So thatās my mission. For myself and for you.
To bring back traditional and ancient tools and techniques for the modern world.
To feel better. To feel wholeā¤ļø

Our minds are so fast to find the negative of everything, which is fair enough if you are not living at the best of your capacities or walking through a difficult path in life.
But good can really be found everywhere and especially in all of those acts we do daily.
Acts which are now done in autopilot so we donāt have the awareness we used to in front of something that became usual.
Go back to that feeling, go back at being surprised of a perfectly made cup of coffee, at a good night of sleep, at your new shower soapā¦

Nature shares with us valuable lessons that can help us improve our mental & emotional wellbeing:
š¤£ Take a leaf for example. If thereās a lot of sun, it will be smaller, thicker, and will change its pigmentation, while if growing in the shade, it will be larger, greener, and thinner, so to absorb more sunlight. Nature adapts to its surroundings. It doesnāt resist change.
š¤£ In the world of nature, everything revolves around self-preservation. Nature is able to balance its constructive and destructive processes to thrive and grow. By listening to our intuition, developing a growth mindset, doing the inner work, we will be able to understand our intentions, values, and purpose better, while recognising our emotional needs, and maintain a balanced life.
š¤£ Everything in nature changes. We, on the other hand, cling to things. We can find it difficult to embrace change even when we deeply desire it because change reminds us that everything is transient. What we need to learn is that accepting change makes us more adaptable, and that sets us free.
š¤£ Nature never hurries, and yet, everything is accomplished sooner or later. We instead, are alway in a hurry. We overload ourselves with work that we canāt fit into 24 hours and then we get stressed out. Stop for a moment. Breathe. Disconnect in order to reconnect with yourself. Set your priorities and change your lifeās tempo.
š¤£ In nature everything has a purpose. Humans sometimes spend their entire lives trying to find their purpose in life, maybe thinking that it must be something very deep and difficult to comprehend. Often forgetting what is right in front of us.
š¤£ In nature, everything circles back to where it came from. All the actions have their natural consequences. If you know how the system works, itās not too difficult to figure out what the right thing to do is. Sometimes, us humans think we can just do whatever we want. We should learn how to appreciate everything we have been given, appreciating the smallest things.
