Family time + beach time

We surprised the girls with a beach get away to Wilmington, NC.
Teagan and Harlow we overwhelmed and so excited. The cold waters of the Atlantic and outside temp of low 60s did not deter them from jumping in while being fully clothed.

Is there anything better than going barefoot on the beach right next to the water and with each step your foot sinking into the sand a little?

Finally got around to developing my film from the trip and I took to Omaha last year.

This is an unedited photo out of my Yashika Matte using Kodak Portra 400.

When Hannah and I spent a long weekend exploring Omaha I took my Yashika and focused on shooting mainly on film. It had been almost 16 years since I shot film. Being intentional with shooting since ai only had 2 rolls of film with me.
And this one I am particularly proud of.

Thank you so much to for cleaning my Yashika, film, and developing the film.

What a beautiful day it is today. This amazing little lady is another year older.

Although your not a huge fan of getting your photos taken these photos really speak to who you are. You are reserved but very funny to your core.
A seeker of peace and deep contemplation. A novice photographer with an ever increasing desire to capture the world around you.

These were taken a few weeks ago on a hiking trip with the great Jim Reznicek. He took me on an adventure through the Wichita Mountains. We had a wonderful time snapping photos, hiking through a few mountains (small hills compared to what I'm used to, having a great conversation, and then a super yummy dinner in Medicine Park.

A quote by a famous Hannah for my Hannah with photos of that Hannah.

Love, by its very nature, is unworldly, and it is for this reason rather than its rarity that it is not only apolitical but antipolitical, perhaps the most powerful of all antipolitical forces.

Carol is a brilliant artist with countless talents and for years she has taught people to create as well. Now as her life changes and she doesn't get out as much she has devoted more time to creating and not teaching. While she creates she does so with others at heart. She constantly dreams of projects for her friends, family, and countless others.

This is my dear friend Jared. Over the last few months we've been able to hangout and shoot together as well as just hang out.
His photography has really inspired me and his heart for the fashion and modeling world is beautiful. The way he interacts with everyone he works with is amazing.
As he takes photos he is inspiring with his vision but also methodical and compassionate about the way he communicates his vision.
He creates a joyous and creative atmosphere that deeply promotes self worth and showing each model they are valued and have a voice.

Big hugs bro I am super proud of you and am so so excited for your future.

Found a fun word to describe this couple's fashion: Vintage - Dernier Cri.
It's such a fun word but just to give you some homework I'll let you check it out on your own.
They are both super thrifters and still up to date on the fun modern trends at the same time. Combining old beauty with modern accents just like their super cute little house.

The dogmas of the quiet past are inadequate to the stormy present. The occasion is piled high with difficulty, and we must rise with the occasion. As our case is new, so we must think anew and act anew.

Yup it's the Eiffel Tower. We were in Paris 10 days and only spent like an hour one night there with a friend.
It's pretty and the whole area was nice but it's just a tourists trap and more a visage then French. I just really enjoyed seeing the city where tourists don't go and where Paris was and is more alive.
If it's on the travel channel or in a tour guide your going to enjoy it but if you venture away your actually experince Paris and French culture. So I say ask the street cleaner where to eat, talk with your taxi driver about where he likes to relax at, or just involved with the culture by being involved with the people.
I can't believe it's been over 6 years since I was last in Paris. Definitely need a trip back soon.

Le Consulat Café is in the Montmarte district of Paris and is where Hannah and I fell in love with Paris day one. Seeing Le Consulat Café and knowing it's where Money, Picasso, Van Gogh, and countless others have sat to be inspired or relax with a nice cup of coffee or glass of wine.
Across the street artists sell their art and other shops sell useless knick knacks for tourists.
But the smell of cappuccinos, fresh bagetts, and a slight smell of acrylic paint drying really is amazing.
The alleyways all have a sort of song to them and you are taken back to a time long gone with clash of modern cars and people with cameras and cell phones everywhere snapping photos to brag about later on.

Sacré Cœur is a place I'll never forget.
The architectural magnificence nestled at the top of the Montmarte Hill overlooking Paris is a sight you must see.
The whole neighborhood inspires creativity and inspiration is everywhere you look.
From the intricacies of the paintings inside to the almost perfect placement of the cities famous monuments all in view from the front steps your senses are overwhelmed with awe.
It's been 6 years since Hannah and I got to explore Paris but I dearly hope to go back soon and share Paris with my daughters.
