Here are some tips though to help your child transition away from the screen, without a struggle, when it's time:
👉 Take time to connect with your child about what it is they are watching. "I know you love this Peppa. What did she do today?"
👉 Set a limit beforehand and let them know when it is time to turn it off.
👉 Offer a sense of control. "Would you like me to turn it off or do you want to do it yourself?"
👉 If tears and tantrums happen let them know it is okay to feel upset.
👉 Have other toys and activities ready when it's time to redirect.
