I Tinker, I Craft, I Create, I am an artist. I am inspired by the things around me, nature, household objects and family.
These appear in my works, but I also use my art to express my inner world. I use various media to create arts and crafts.
Crocheted bodice just off the hook. Made in a gorgeous purple 4 ply cotton.
Visible repairs. From a ragged hole to a posy of crocheted and embroidered flowers.
I am attempting to create a brand identity for myself and my creations. I created this. Looking for some honest and constructive feedback. What do you think? Does it give you enough information? Does it encourage you to find out more? What vibes are you getting from it?

Crocheted Rainbow pocket instructions.
Uses UK terminology and just 1 stitch - the Half double crochet HDC, chain stitch and increases.
Use DK yarn and a 3.75 or 4mm hook, depending on yarn recommendations and your own preference, to create a firm fabric that keeps it’s shape and doesn’t have large holes.
If you want a chained fringe on the top edge, leave a 10-15cm tail at the beginning and end of each row.
Otherwise, work starting ends in as you go and weave in the excess at the end of the row.
If you are not confident with colour changes, just make it in one colour.
Using purple yarn make 16 chain stitches
Row 1 HDC into third chain from hook, then 13 HDC nto each base chain. Make 2 chain and turn
Row 2 - working on both sides of Row 1, HDC into 12 stitches, 4 HDC into the 2ch that counts as the 1st stitch of row 1. Make 13 HDC stitches in the base loops of the foundation chain. Turn.
Row 3 - change to indigo yarn. 2 chain, HDC into the next 11 stitches, 2 HDC into the next stitch, HDC into the next 3 stitches, 2 HDC into the next stitch, 12 HDC to end. Turn
Row 4 - change to blue yarn, 2 chain, HDC in the next 12 stitches, 2 HDC into the next stitch, repeat. 1 HDC into the next 2 stitches, 2 HDC into the next stitch and repeat, HDC into the next 13 stitches. Turn
Row 5 change to green yarn, 2 Chain then HDC into each of the next 13 stitches, 2 HDC into the next stitch, repeat, HDC into the next three stitches, 2 HDC in the next stitch , repeat then HDC into the last 14 stitches. Turn
Row 6 - change to yellow yarn. 2 chain, HDC in the next 13 stitches, 2 HDC into the next stitch, repeat, 1 HDC in each of the next 6 stitches, 2 HDC into the next stitch, repeat, 1 HDC in each of the remaining 14 stitches. Turn
Row 7 - change to orange yarn, 2 chain. 1 HDC in each of the next 14 stitches, 2 HDC in the next stitch, 1 HDC, 2 HDC in the next stitch, 1 HDC in the next 7 stitches, 2 HDC in the next stitch, 2 HDC into the next stitch, 15 HDC to end. Turn
Row 8 - change to red yarn, 2 Chain, HDC into the next 15 stitches, 2 HDC into each of the next three stitches, 1 HDC into the next 10 stitches, 2 HDC into each of the next three stitches, 1 HDC into the next 16 stitches to end, 2 chain and turn.
Row 9 HDC in the next 17 stitches, 2 HDC in each of the next two stitches, 13 HDC, 2H DC into each of the next two stitches, 18 half double crochet to end.
Optional chain fringing- instead of weaving in the ends create a fringe instead. Just chain stitch the excess yarn from the beginning and ends of rows leaving 4/5cm un crocheted and finish with a small knot in the end to stop the yarn unravelling.
If you want to add more fringing then attach pieces of yarn where required, chain stitch yarn, leaving an end as before and add a small knot.
I have tried to document how I created my own pockets. If there are any errors please excuse me. The important thing is that the increases should be located at the top 2 rounded corners and you work back and forth around the U shape without on the edges.
