While everyone is enjoying bbq’s today, The Baking Soldier is gearing up for First Friday tomorrow, so make sure you come out and grab some fun treats. I will be with Divino Taco Truck from 6-10pm in Tarpon Springs.

What a successful and amazing event at Summer Splash 2024! I was honored to be sitting next to some big restaurant names such as Currents, and Bon Appetite but I am so impressed at the quality of food these vendors brought. My cheesecakes were also a big hit!!!! The top favorites of the evening were Mexican Hot Chocolate and Key Lime Pie Cheesecake

The Baking Soldier had a successful event on Broadway 🎭

What an amazing experience and honor getting to present Golden Globe and Academy Award Nominee Cathy Moriarty an award cake I made. She won an award this evening for most influential woman in Venus on Broadway Int'l Film Festival NYC. She was discovered by Joe Pesci and played alongside Robert De Niro in Raging Bull.

She absolutely loved The Baking Soldier and I sent her home with most of the leftovers for her daughter and family.

The Baking Soldier presents the King and Queen of Carnival custom banana cakes for Tampa Bay Carnival De Barranquilla

I used to be known as Hayley Cinema cakes. I would take my baking to various film sets or projects I was working on, and next thing I know, my cupcakes found their way to a Madonna film documentary playing at AMC theatres in Times Square. Then my cupcakes made it to Broadway for the musical Chicago 🎭 It was then, that I entered a business plan competition for The State Of New York. This required a lot classes, some at Columbia University. I was sitting next to a minister from Harlem who said…”so, your The Baking soldier?”
🤔 “well…yes I AM”
I changed my name, paid for a PITCH deck to get created, and then I told my brother.

“You were in the Navy…why isn’t it called The Baking Sailor?”

I did the only thing I knew how to do.
“Ok God…they say every answer is in this book”
I opened the Bible. Randomly
