When you need to churn through >$1M turnover in order to “only lose” 2% (was at -7ish% early part of the day) you know it’s not a favourable market day (for the long term portfolio) but I kinda did “ok”?
(Trying to self console because a more superior day trader could’ve done better?)
The only good is that I’m able to add to my long term, big tech, conviction positions. 😅

Took me the whole night and 38 trades to secure a win for the day (Was at a 3% drawdown at one point).
8% intraday portfolio gain for the day. Gains came mostly during closing bell.
Fingers crossed for a Day 2 banger tomorrow on the outstanding shares.
Auspicious numbers all round today. Huat ah.

Took longs on those bouncing off key levels with an eye on shorts, and took shorts on those price breakdowns the downside.

Took longer than usual as was trying to ascertain if the day had any potential of rebound or a continuation of the negative sentiment.

Picture only became clear at 2325hrs LT with the two (5mins) candlestick breakdown off the key 12000 level.

In the Crypto space, everything’s so intertwined that one may not know exactly where your coins end up.

Up until recently, never knew that their lending program within Gemini, Gemini Earn, send funds to Genesis, which is owned by Digital Currency Group.

Now that Genesis have gone bankrupt, I know I have little chance of seeing my funds back again. Even 10cents on every dollar clawed back will be just a consolation, if anything at all. Survived FTX, only to plough all those proceeds directly into Gemini Earn 😑

There goes the bulk of my crypto portfolio. **f 📉

Question is, even if I had known of all those intricacies of cross firm lending, would I have continued with the lending program to earn interest? The truth is, I very well still would’ve.

ABNB long. Both EPS and revenue beat estimates. Still gapped down due weaker guidance.
Shows that even when you are right, stock price may still go against you.
Entering a position into earnings is really a gamble. Treat it as such. Watch your sizing and don’t YOLO into a supposed quick trade.
