It seems no two loaves turn out the same... even if you follow the directions π― (or you think you do. But that's part of the fun.
This Sourdough whole wheat sandwich bread turned out delicious. It rose more than my previous loaves, is softer, and has more flavor. I also learned the importance of letting it cool completely to seal the flavors in the bread after it comes out of the oven.

Check out the amazing benefits of Flaxseed! I use these everyday. They are an amazing source of Omega 3 (which is important for brain and heart health) , assist in healthy digestion - to help avoid constipation and also can help reduce LDL- Bad cholesterol.
I like to buy the Organic Whole flaxseed and store it in the freezer. It needs to be ground in a processor before using to help it to be better absorbed and used by the body. I typically use a small container and ground enough for the week.
It's great sprinkled on vegetables, salads, yogurt, cereal, toast....endless opportunities to use it everyday to improve your health
Eating too many carbs or calories isnβt the only thing that leads to obesity. Many food additives and ingredients in processed food are linked to weight gain:
β POLYSORBATE 80: An emulsifier linked to weight gain, inflammation and digestive problems
β CELLULOSE: This thickener & emulsifier is usually made from wood, because itβs cheap. Consumption of this additive (not naturally occurring when found in whole food) may alter gut bacteria, increase the risk of inflammatory bowel disease, metabolic syndrome, significant weight gain, and cancer.
β ARTIFICIAL SWEETENERS (SUCRALOSE, ASPARTAME): Although artificial sweeteners have no calories, they have been shown to contribute to weight gain by encouraging sugar cravings. Research finds they stimulate your appetite, increase sugar cravings, and promote fat storage and weight gain.
β CALCIUM PROPIONATE: This preservative disrupts the metabolism and can promote weight gain. Animal studies show that it also leads to high blood sugar and insulin resistance, which increases the risk of type 2 diabetes.
β SOYBEAN OIL: Very high in omega-6 fatty acids, which increases the risk of obesity, inflammation, cardiovascular disease, cancer, and autoimmune diseases.
This information was life-changing for me! When I stopped focusing on the calories, carbs and fat grams and looked into the ingredients I was eating instead, my health completely turned around.
Seek out nutrition firstβ¦and the rest will follow! Itβs remarkable what real food can do.
