Hey everyone! I've been doing a bit of houskeeping in regards to my social media accounts and I've decided to move all of my kpop fanart to separate accounts because I feel like its confusing to post that and all my other art together. Just a quick sketchy portrait to both test out some brushes and try out a much more limited colour palette than I'm used to. I watched a really awesome video this afternoon by Taylor Brooker Art where she started out with only four colours and I had to try it!

Meet the artist!

Not the greatest of photos, but this is what I made my mum for Christmas. It took me an entire month to paint/cut out/glue everything but it was so worth it! I'll try and get some nicer photos next time I'm up at my parents place

I’m really late to the party, but I started watching The 100 yesterday and I can’t believe its taken me this long because I LIVE for post apocalyptic stories!

I know a lot of people die so I’m trying not to get too attached but I am honestly in love with Anya already, oops.

I'm only at the end of season one as I post this, so please don't spoil anything for me! (I know its going to be nearly impossible to avoid them all but I'm going to try!)

I just really wanted to draw a leather jacket with Medieval style slashed sleeves.

I was unfortunately made redundant from my full time animation job recently which is a shame, but now it means I have lots of extra time to draw. So if you are wanting something for yourself, or as a Christmas gift for someone else, now is your chance to get it!

The new Ghostbusters as (part of) a roller derby team. I watched Whip It the other day and I wanted to draw a roller derby girl and somehow this happened instead!

The final week and a bit of Inktober 2016

I did it! I finally managed to complete inktober! I only fell behind twice twice this month (or last month now I guess) and I didnt give up at the very end! I need to scan my final drawing and then I'll be posting the last batch of my inktober portraits. I cant believe I did it!

I finally watched the new Ghostbusters movie this week and I loved it so much!

Overload 2016 is happening this weekend!! On September 24th from 10am - 6pm at The Cloud in Auckland CBD, myself and a whole load of other awesome artists will be selling their art!

I'll be at table C11 (right in the middle) selling prints and doing commissions. I have a lot of new artwork this year, and as well as offering the usual $5 sketch commissions, I will also be doing $10 sketch portrait commissions for the first time.

Tickets cost $10 for adults and $5 for under 13s

Its going to be a great event and I'd love to see you there!
