Monthly "Songwriters Night"
Our first in 2024 is coming Wednesday, Jan 17
Monthly - 3rd Wednesday of the month
Hidden Gem Music Club
Pre-selected (not open mic). Encouraging all levels of experience to play their originals. 30 minute sets each. 5 minute setup. 3-4 sets per night. No cover. Playing for exposure, tips only, no guaranteed take from the door. Max 2 hours - 7:30pm to 9:30pm.

Quarterly "Songwriters Event"
Quarterly - Aiming for Thursdays - tbd
Hidden Gem Music Club
-Special formats (e.g. Songwriters In The Round). $5 door charge. Split to players. 2 hours. 7:30pm to 9:30pm. Possibly 8-10pm.
We've had a good time at the two "in the round" nights we did this last year - so that will be one of the formats we use.
Playing our monthly songwriter nights is the best way to get on the list for the quarterly. Generally we've been able to not exclude anyone. If things pick up that may be more selective this year.

Annual "Stillwater's Songfest"
Outdoor/Semi-Outdoor BBQ Venue - date and venue tbd
I'm working on a first of hopefully repeating annual fun gathering of songwriters. For 2024, I'm looking at a BBQ type of event, no-host food and bar, at a great semi-outdoor facility a couple of us got to play in 2023. Hoping for a date in late September or early October, when we get some beautiful afternoons. I'd like to try evolving it into a full afternoon songwriters' celebration.

Hey songwriter types - just sharing a new find - for me this seems like a "great" resource "How to Write Songs" (YouTube Channel).
The name sounds so basic it's misleading. I think they do a good job of spanning both more knowledgeable musicians and non-educated types (like me)!!!
Very good stuff in the first 10 or so I've listened to.
