Founded in 1958, Belvidere Youth Baseball has evolved to one of the area's largest youth sports organizations for young athletes in Boone County.
The goal of our organization is to provide a safe and productive environment that enables children to learn and apply the principles of teamwork, discipline, dedication, and sportsmanship and simply have FUN. We facilitate the development of strength and character in every child that participates. Participation in our organization is open to all boys and girls in the Belvidere and surrounding area

Due to considerable interest from players, coaches, and parents, BYB will host a 15U full-time travel team in 2025. The Belvidere Badgers will play in AA(and possibly compete in AAA-or-16U)tournaments in adjacent states within five hours. If you have an athlete who is interested, please fill out the tryout registration. The tryout will be August 10, 2024, at 9:30 until 11:30 AM. An information sheet is also attached to this post. Upon registering for the tryouts you receive a packet with specific information.
This will be a full-time travel team for all schools in Boone County and cities associated with BYB!

Good luck to all of our teams playing tonight and congratulations to all of those who have already finished up. It was another fantastic year of baseball and we are beyond thankful for our committed coaches, dedicated board members and volunteers, and fantastic concessions team and grounds crew. ❤️
It was a Storm Chasers showdown for the 14U Championship this weekend in Elgin with Coach Bodey facing Coach Daugherty ⚾️
Congrats to Coach Daugherty and his team for the win 🏆 and awesome job to Coach Bodey and his team for a fantastic fight to the end!

While we are all getting pumped up for playoffs to start this week, we also want to remind players and coaches that fall ball registration is open! ⚾️🥎
This is a "bring your team" format where the coach or team coordinator will register their team as a whole, not as individual players as we do in rec league. If you have a player without a team, you can use the Individual Player Interest Form link to add their info to the pool of available players. Adding your player's name to this list does not guarantee them a place on a team, but does make their info available to coaches who are still trying to add players to their team.

Congrats to all of our 6u teams who wrap up their season this week. 🏅 We are so appreciative of the time the coaches have put in with our littlest ball players! It truly does take a village at this age and we can’t say thank you enough for your guidance, patience, encouragement. ❤️

Line up starts at 3:30. Parade step off is at 5pm. Meet us at our spot between 4&4:30. We are #22 in line, on the West side of State St. Between W. MACOMB AND W. MARSHALL
🚨Attention all BYB fans and spectators:
As we close in on the remainder of our rec season there are a few serious reminders that need to be shared with all spectators coming to our complex.
You must keep a close eye on your non-participating children. Do not let your children climb on fences, play in the batting cages, or run through the corn fields next to the 8U and 10U fields. Do not let your children play on any unused baseball fields. Be respectful of our facilities and grounds.
Do not smoke in the property. Do not bring dogs to the complex that are not marked service animals. You will be asked to leave and/or remove your pet if you are seen onsite.
Not only are we working hard to maintain and improve our property through the work of our small but mighty grounds crew, we have also been blessed by a variety of donations from local businesses that have significantly upgraded our facility. We ask that you be compliant with our rules and work along side us to continue to improve BYB for the betterment of our programs.
