Coming from a small town, Tucson, Az., I started with only a dream of seeing my name in bright light. I only could dream about living in a big house, driving a fancy car, and having more money than I could spend in my lifetime. I only knew hurt and pain; when I was seven my mother thought it was fine to let her boyfriend r**e me just so he would stay with her. On my eleventh birthday I was brutally beaten because I wouldn’t let the neighborhood drug dealer have s*x with me. At sixteen my mother put me out of her house after her husband left her; she swears it’s my fault because I had, had enough of being the string that held her relationships together.
It's two weeks after I graduated high school, yes a bitch was smart enough to finish school, and here I am pinching pennies working at McDonalds. One day I was sitting home in this ran down apartment that I could barely afford thinking to myself, “This is not me, this is not how I dreamed my life would be, but I must do something to change this.” As I sat there with my head in my hands I started debating with myself about getting out of this s**t hole. Now I knew this wouldn’t be easy but it was something I had to do. But then the questions started coming, “Bryanna could you rob someone and sleep at night? Could you kill a man and show no feelings about it?” The answer to these questions was no but f**k it I had to do something.
I jumped from the chair I was sitting in ran to my room put on a pair of tight fitting cut up jeans, a real cute shirt, and my Jordan’s. It was time for me to get out of here. I knew that if I was going to do this I was going to need money, and I knew exactly where I could get it. This n***a King was still trying to get at me like I didn’t remember what he did to me when I was eleven. I knew exactly where to find him so to the strip club I went. And there he was as always with some young girl all on his jock, as usual. Pulling her by her hair I snatched her right off his lap. Once she realized who I was she walked off without saying a word. Now I wasn’t a bully but after years of pain you get tired of bulls**t and fight back. So I quickly became the one you didn’t want problems with.
“Hey daddy,” I said sitting on his lap pressing my bubble butt into his man pride. As I felt it start to swell, my plan was in full effect, “So I see you still chasing these stupid little girls and I’m wondering are you ready for this grown ass woman?” Smiling from ear to ear he replied, “Girl I been ready but you been running from daddy.” I stood up grabbing him by the hand leading him outside the club. Once I realize we was clear of his dumb ass followers I leaned close to him and whispered in his ear, “Come on daddy take me home; I can’t wait to feel your greatness inside these pleasurable walls.” Without saying nothing he led me to his car, speeding all the way there. We pulled into his long as driveway. He jumped out the car damn near running trying to get in the house, while un******ng his self. Remembering he always kept a gun in his car, I put gloves on, I reached for it shortly joining him in the house.
I walked in the room in my bra and panties looking at his dumb ass, as he lies across the bed with his pride in his hand. I slowly danced closer to him before shooting him in his right leg, “Oh you stupid bitch," He screamed. "You thought I forgot what you did to me six years ago; oh that’s right throw this stupid bitch in the alley she won’t remember s**t after the beating I just gave her. That’s what you said remember; guess what bitch I remembered because for the past six years I’ve stabbed a picture of you every night before I closed my eyes.” As he cried out for help, I laughed, “I’m smarter then that stupid all your help is still at the strip club or somewhere f**king some dumb ass young girl that thinks the s**t is okay, you little dick ass bitches,” as I spit in his face. “What is it that you want bitch,” he cried out. I replied with a smile, “Your life but first you’re going to give me everything then I’m going to end you.” “I’ll make you a deal with you. I’ll give it all to you just please don’t kill me. I have kids that need their father,” he begged for his life. I looked at him before I agreed, knowing that there was no way I was going to let him walk away from this not paying for the pain he caused me.
I grabbed his laptop off the dresser throwing it on the bed giving him my account number, “transfer it all into my account and you keep your life.” He opened the laptop and started transferring the funds. I felt moistness in my pants when I seen the exact amount of his total business. “Ninety million dollars and it’s all mine,” I thought to myself and a small part of me even consider letting him live; the laptop made a beeping noise when the transfer was done and without a second thought between his eyes I shot him. I cleaned every trace of myself from the house as I ran out the front door I grabbed a set of keys. Thinking to myself where am I going to go now. I had enough money to start a new life anywhere I chose but first I must get the f**k out of Arizona.
The next morning was the most important morning of my life. I had too much to do in such little time; I was sitting in the bank when I heard local drug lord was shot and killed in his home last night. I looked up at the TV, “Somebody finally got that bitch,” starting a conversation with the lady sitting next to me. She replied, “I heard whoever did it got him for everything he had; left his wife and kids with nothing.” I laughed inside but didn’t reply. I just shook my head as if I could actually be sad for the bastard, not. “Bryanna Bryant,” the lady called out as she held the door open. “That’s me, it was nice meeting you I hope you have a great day,” as I walked to the back smiling big on the inside. “How can I help you this morning ma’am,” the lady from the bank asked. I sat down in the chair, “Yeah I would like to withdraw 100,000 from my accounts on today.” I sat there as she prepared the paperwork so I could get my money. The transaction was completed; when I left the bank I made a quick stop by the court house to put in for a name change. Hmmmmmmmmm what would look good on my new life.
Ashley Crawford was perfect; a new me and a new beginning. Now that the legal s**t was out the way it was time to do some shopping. After about three hours of shopping I was sitting in the food court when this beautiful young lady came walking over towards where I was sitting. “BeBe,” she called out as she sat across from me. “Sorry you have me confused with someone else now if you don’t mind I would like to dine alone,” I replied without looking at her. “Oh really so you’re not the same BeBe that smoked King last night oh that’s right did I forget to mention I was in the closet the whole time,” she carried on, which got my attention, “look I’m not here to blackmail you or anything I just want you to know that I was there for the same reason. I don’t know why you did it but that bitch n***a beat my sister to death a few years ago. You just beat me to the punch.” Understanding her pain I asked, “So why are you here?” “I just want to get the f**k out of this place,” she said as the tears started falling from her face, “I been here living in the shadows of this raggedy place for the past three years. My parents died when I was nine and my sister was all I had until that bitch n***a took her away from me.” “Okay but who is your sister and how do you know me,” I replied trying not to show any emotions. “Brittney is my big sister.”
“King killed Britt Britt!!! Wow that’s messed up for real Brit never bother no one and she was not the type so be dealing with the likes of King,” I scream getting mad all over again. Not being able to listen to her any more without dropping a tear I grabbed her hand leaving the food court, “Listen this is what we can do but first we must change your name, second we got to get you cleaned up and out of these whorish looking clothes, and then we out of here.” “Well the name thing is not a problem no one here knows who I am because when my parents died my sister kept me in the house and home schooled me,” she replied with a smile.
“What is your name anyway,” I asked? “Angel Kelly,” she answered proudly. “You got to be s**tting me you’re little Angel. I knew your sister she talked about you all the time when we was in the streets, always saying that she knew this life wasn’t for her. That she was only doing it to make a better life for you. Okay enough with that memory lane bulls**t, I got you from now on but under one condition; you’re going to finish school,” Angel moan and started to say something but I cut her off, “there is nothing to say its final lets go.” As we left the mall Angel reached over and hugged me, which brought tears to my eyes cause I use to always promise her sister that if anything was to ever happen to her I would look after little Angel which was hard cause she never told me how to find Angel if something did happen to her. But I guess when things are meant to be then they will be.
I was in front of the mirror in our hotel room as I called out with a question, “Angel where is the one place in this world you would like to go?” She looked at me and said Brittney always wanted to go to California; so how about Cali?” “Then Cali is where we’re headed,” I replied without a breath. Angel starts packing our thing and we’re out of here. On the way to the airport Angel looked at me and asked, “Are you going to be my big sister now?” “I was your big sister way before you even knew my name sweetie now get some rest we got our whole lives ahead of us. We made it to the airport, purchased our tickets and made it through security; finally we made it to our gate. I sat there thinking to myself, “How am I going do this? I’m only eighteen years old and now I had to try to raise a sixteen year old and keep her from going through anymore bulls**t in her life. Oh well f**k it somebody has to do it and I made the promise.”
The plane landed we gathered our things and headed for our new life. We headed to a motel until we could find the perfect home for us. I was up all night looking for houses trying to get a head start for tomorrow and I opened a web browser and there is was. It was perfect, a two story, seven bedrooms, two offices, a four car garage, and it’s a beach front property. I was outside the realtor office before they opened the next morning. The deal was done and now it was time to shop for the house, by the end of the day we were in our own place living like Queens. I looked at Angel and said today is the official first day of the rest of our lives.
