Not all coffee cherries mature to a red or plum color. We have a bit of yellow Catuai and some fermentation experiments coming soon.

Doing our share of roasting has helped us understand our coffee so much more. There is a long way from plant to cup, but we learn about the journey of coffee every day a bit more.
The suspense before the harvest is killing us. Even “La Chelona” one of the farms dogs feels it.

La sabaneta farm is looking great for the harvest. This farm has half of its total area renovated with Pacas!

Having our own nursery has been a challenge. The upside is that it allows us to have greater care over the plants we move to the field. Quality and consistency in the cup also comes from quality coffee nursery.

Don Rafa, one our most iconic workers at La Sabaneta went on a scavenger hunt for some avocados today.

Water is needed for many labors in coffee growing. These tanks are scattered around La Sabaneta farm to help us collect rain water for us to use in hard to reach places of the mountain.
Bourbon; its tall stature and susceptibility to leaf rust make it hard to grow. Very few few compare to its exquisite taste in the cup. How is your favorite coffee variety grown?
