Join Chandlerthinks Agency and the Upper Cumberland Tourism Association as we work to build a cohesive regional tourism brand representing Cannon, Clay, Cumberland, DeKalb, Fentress, Jackson, Macon, Overton, Pickett, Putnam, Smith, Van Buren, Warren, and White counties!

The process includes four regionally located town hall meetings with stakeholders, focus groups, and public learning workshops, followed by evaluation and research, that will lead to the development of a cohesive story for the Upper Cumberland and a complete action plan.

Your voice is needed! All Upper Cumberland residents and businesses are welcome including but not limited to City/County leaders, Tourist attractions, Biking/Hiking clubs, Music venues, Hotels/short-term rentals, Golf courses, Marinas, Wineries/Breweries, State park leaders, Dining Establishments, Sports tourism entities, Arts/music organizations, Agri-tourism, Residents, Other tourism asset leaders, and Local businesses.

Aunt Bee’s Farmhouse Quilt Shop & Bakery in Historic Granville is not only one of our newest members, but a great place to visit and create memories! Walking through the doors of AuntBee’s, you are immediately welcomed by genuine hospitality, a beautiful space with a large variety of fabrics (including seasonal options), and a room dedicated to teaching quilting.

After stopping by on a visit to Granville, I knew I had to go back to Aunt Bee’s and take a quilting class and I am so glad I did! I went from zero sewing skills to tackling a full-size quilt. Brenda at Aunt Bee‘s is a phenomenal teacher who is patient, kind, and such a joy to be around. She immediately puts you at ease. Not only does the class include hands on instructions, a sewing machine, and all the fabric you need for your creation, it also includes a delicious lunch prepared on site.

I already have my next quilt selected for the winter. This is something we will be doing time and time again!

While you’re there, be sure to check out the town of Granville. This place is full of small town charm, some of the friendliest and talented people you will ever meet, as well as a unique space for unique collections!

Granville is located in Jackson County, which is also home to Sutton General Store, Cordell Hall lake, and Cummins Falls State Park.

With so much to do, Historic Granville has something for everyone!

Tech’s “College Town Kickoff” slated for Aug. 24 in downtown Cookeville, featuring concert by American Authors - News Tennessee Tech will once again celebrate the start of the fall semester with its second annual “College Town Kickoff” block party and concert.

About Sierra Hull:

In her first 25 years alone, singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Sierra Hull hit more milestones than many musicians accomplish in a lifetime. After making her Grand Ole Opry debut at the age of 10, the Tennessee-bred virtuoso mandolinist played Carnegie Hall at age 12, then landed a deal with Rounder Records just a year later. Now 28-years-old, Hull is set to deliver her fourth full- length for Rounder: an elegantly inventive and endlessly captivating album called 25 Trips.

Revealing her profound warmth as a storyteller, 25 Trips finds Hull shedding light on the beauty and chaos and sometimes sorrow of growing up and getting older. To that end, the album’s title nods to a particularly momentous year of her life, including her marriage to fellow bluegrass musician Justin Moses and the release of her widely acclaimed album Weighted Mind—a Béla Fleck- produced effort nominated for Best Folk Album at the 2017 Grammy Awards.

“There’s a lot of push-and-pull on this record, where in some moments I feel like everything’s happening so fast and I wish I could slow it all down so I can really enjoy it,” Hull points out. “But then there are also times where I’m looking forward to the day when the craziness has died down a bit, and life’s a little calmer.”
