The purpose of the Shining Light Through Mists of Darkness podcast is to uplift listeners through an environment where the Spirit can thrive in a discussion setting about Gospel topics, and our experiences in learning them.
It is incredible to me that as of today, I have been a Member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for 22 years! In so many ways, the time seems to have both flown by, but also be a long, charted course. I am in awe thinking of the things that have transpired both in my individual life, and the world during the years that have gone by.
With all of the changes that have happened during this timeframe, one thing has remained the same for me. I’m grateful for the Lord leading me to the gospel, and through the decision I made to alter my life to following this path, it has lead me to both spiritual and temporal blessings. I have been blessed to meet incredible brothers and sisters in the gospel who are amazing friends and people in my life. It has also led me down a path of a once uncertain, but eventual successful education career, which has opened doors to career paths I previously couldn’t have imagined 22 years ago.
While there have been challenges and trials in the mist of these blessings, at the end of the day, the words of my late grandmother Adele ring true in my mind, “Always trust that no matter what circumstances of life comes your way, good or bad, that the Lord will always make a way for you to overcome, out of no way at all.” Her words of wisdom have proven to be true, as I have followed her guidance to trust the Lord to lead me down paths I didn’t know existed, and I know he will continue to do so, as I continue to trust him. Thank you friends/family for all your support to me throughout these years. 🙏

I am thankful to have the most amazing people in my life that I call friends. Truthfully, I these individuals as family. I have learned some of life’s most important lessons through experiences and advice I have gained throughout the years. While it is not possible for me to list and picture everyone of these amazing folks out in one individual post as this, please know that you all have my love, admiration, gratitude for each you! 🙂

I am thankful for all the missionaries who I have been blessed to meet in their service of the Lord. I am thankful that the Lord allowed these wonderful brothers to be his vessel in bringing the restored gospel into my life 19 years ago, and who continue to be a blessing in my life.
