Today, we celebrate not just the milestones but the dreams, struggles, and resilience of girls around the world. As a peer educator, I want to share a message from the heart:

To every girl out there:
You are the embodiment of strength and hope. Your dreams, no matter how big or small, are worthy of pursuit. Remember that the world needs your voice—your unique perspective can inspire change and ignite a movement. You are not just the leaders of tomorrow; you are the change-makers of today.

Embrace your journey: It may be filled with challenges, but each step you take builds your character and fortifies your spirit. Don’t let fear or doubt dim your light. Instead, let your passion fuel you. When you believe in yourself, you can overcome any obstacle.

To the parents and guardians:
You hold the power to nurture a generation of confident, empowered girls. Listen to their dreams and support their ambitions. Create a safe space where they can express themselves freely. Your encouragement can plant seeds of resilience and self-worth that will grow into lifelong confidence.

Dear future Wife

Sweetheart, when you we get Pregnant, I won't allow
you to do anything stressful till you deliver our baby.
You don't have to be bother about anything. I can
handle it. Please, I don't want to see you out of
bed by 5 a.m multitasking between making
breakfast and doing the house chores. I will take
care of that. You just watch T.V while I serve you
breakfast in bed..
I know you will be going to the hospital for
Antenatal. I will always be available to drive you
there myself. You can't drive yourself in that condition .The Doctors will advise you do regular exercises to keep fit, i'll be your personal Gym instructor. On
cool evenings, we'll take a stroll around the
Neighbourhood and when we come back i'll
massage your feet..
I heard pregnant women crave the weirdest food
and sometimes strange food combination. Even if
you want to eat half done white rice with Coconut
water by 3am, i'll give you. I'm equal to the task.
I just don't want to see you anywhere near the
kitchen. On my way back from work each day, i'll
make sure I buy you enough fruits. You may not
eat all but I will keep buying more! I will spoil you
with gifts. As the size of your tummy increases;
i'll buy you new clothes that will fit!..
You think we are out of food stuffs? Don't worry!
Write a list of the things you feel we need, i'll go
to the market and buy them. While in the market
i'll still call you incase you need to add more
items to the list. I can't allow you go to the
market, I don't want people pushing you up and
down. You don't need stress at all.
You want to turn on the tap in the bathroom?
Call me!
You want to rub cream on your back? Call me!
You want to open any door in the house? Call
me!
I will be your House boy till you deliver!..
You may be the one carrying the baby physically
but I'd ensure I carry the baby with you
psychologically with all the Love and care I can
give!.. oh! Lest I forget, our first girl child will carry your first name.

Do they exist?

KITCHEN TIPS

1. Never store Onions and Potatoes together because both produce a gas that causes either of them to spoil quickly.

2. Put two or three orange leaves in your hot palm oil on the fire. Let the leaves turn black before removing it. By then your palm oil becomes pure groundnut oil also giving your food a nice taste.

3. To avoid feeling a peppering hotness on your hands after cutting pepper with bare hand scrub your hand with salt and red oil then wash it.

4. If you happen to over salt a pot of soup, just drop in a peeled potato. The potato will absorb the excess salt.

5. If your Soup or Stew goes sour while warming it, add little piece of Charcoal and remove after warming, the taste will come back.

6. Never put citrus fruits (oranges, lemon, lime, etc) or tomatoes in the fridge. The low temperature degrades the aroma and flavor of these fruits.

7. When storing empty airtight containers, throw in a pinch of salt to keep them from getting stinky.

8. If your salt is becoming lumpy, put a few grains of rice in with it to absorb excess moisture.

9. To reuse cooking oil without tasting whatever was cooked in the oil previously, cook a 1/4" piece of ginger in the oil. It will remove any remaining flavors and odors.

HOW TO RESPECT YOURSELF IN 2023

1...Stop looking for who is not looking for you.
2... Stop begging.
3...Stop saying more than necessary.
4...When people disrespect you, confront them immediately.
5...Don't eat other people's food more than they eat yours.
6...Reduce how you visit some people, especially if they don't reciprocate it.
7...Invest in yourself. Make yourself happy.
8... Stop entertaining gossip about other people.
9...Think before you talk. 80% of how people value you is what comes out of your mouth.
10... Always look your best. Dress the way you should be addressed.
11... Be an achiever. Get busy with your goals
12...Respect your time.
13... Don't stay in a relationship where you don't feel respected and valued. Walk away.
14... Learn to spend money on yourself. That's how people will learn to spend on you.
15... Be scarce sometimes.
16...Be a giver more than a receiver.
17...Don't go where you are not invited. And when invited don't overstay your welcome.
18...Treat people exactly the way they deserve.
19... Except they owe you money, two call attempts is enough. If they value you they will call you back.
20...Be good at what you do.
