Purple mountains 💜

Starting something new. Don’t laugh at my proportions lol, it’s been a while since I’ve drawn full bodies. I get these big ideas that are sometimes overwhelming to get on canvas but I’m trying to just go for it instead of overthinking myself into never trying at all. A friend gave me this huge canvas, and I’m determined to put it to good use.

Now we have spring and fall in the San Juans. I love how the second one turned out.

My daughter and I have become stained glass apprentices for a local artist. This is the first window we’ve done designed by me. I’m looking forward to making another one.

A friend asked for a frog with a cowboy hat, and here he is. 😂

There’s a couple of spots that need a touch up but then the clear coat, and it’s done. 😊

Had a few minutes to explore a new road today in between jobs.

Work in progress. I honestly like the unpainted version better but I’m having fun with it.

I decided to go for it. Still need to touch it up, and I’m thinking of adding some color.

My new wood burner is amazing! Here’s my work in progress. Not sure if I’m going to do anything with the sky yet. I may just sand it down and keep it blank. It’s a tough decision because I like it plain but I also think it would be cool to completely fill it in.

It’s been forever since I’ve posted anything but I’ve been working two jobs, so finding the time, and having the energy to make art has been difficult. Here’s something I’ve been working on a little at a time, usually late at night when I can’t sleep.

So, I’m calling this piece finished, and I’m walking away before I see something else that I think needs to be fixed lol. The struggles of a perfectionist are real! I painted the sides with an eggplant purple, added more red and shading to the top mushroom, and made the top mouse a little more pronounced. It’s been sprayed with a few coats of acrylic sealer, and is ready to go!

I’m terrible with taking before and after photos, so here’s one of my next pieces after I already started lol. Found this really boring but well made mirror at the thrift store, and I’m going to see if I can turn it into something cool. I like a good challenge.

For those of you that wanted to buy cards, I haven’t forgotten about you, I’m still looking for an affordable printing option. My favorite local printing guy is a bit too pricey when it comes to cards.

Hearts… There’s still more touching up to do but I don’t always notice these things until I share it with the public. 😬
