Biggar Community Action Group (BCAG) is working in partnership with Cycling Without Age Scotland (CWAS) to reintroduce trishaw rides to Biggar.
We are looking for volunteers who would be happy to train as volunteer 'pilots' of this electric trishaw and take the occasional trip around the town.

We are looking for volunteers who would be willing to man our helpline for 3 hours on a Friday morning, from 10AM to 1PM. We liaise with our service partners about shopping and prescription deliveries and also take general calls and pass these on to the relevant BCAG trustee. Biggar Community Action Group, WOMANkind Clydesdale and Biggar Kirk are hosting a meeting on Wednesday 27th April at 7:00pm in St. Mary’s Hall to discuss ways of supporting any Ukrainian refugees who may come here. This will be a brainstorming session to share information and talk about ways in which the community might be able to help. These might include signing up to host, baby- sitting, transport, mentoring, befriending, help with English speaking, offering work or volunteering opportunities, providing practical items. There will be other ways to help that we have not yet thought of so come along and share your ideas. If you have questions or cannot attend the meeting but would like to offer something, please email [email protected]. A short summary of the meeting will be produced for those unable to attend.

URGENT NOTICE -Vaccination COVID-19 Drop in - from Biggar Medical Practice Patient Group on behalf of NHS Lanarkshire. Patients of Biggar Medical Practice can drop in for a COVID-19 vaccination first or second doses at Biggar Municipal Hall from 2pm to 6pm on Thursday 26th August and 10am to 2pm on Friday 27th August. Please let your family, your friends, your neighbours and their families, who have not been able to get to a central vaccination point for first and/or second doses.
