😆 What are three things you can’t live without?
You know those things that now as an adult you value a lot 🤣
Those you will make sure to have near you from now on!
I grew up in Colombia where we don’t have dishwashers, dryers, ac, heat, heck not even vacuums 🤣 maybe some do have all those things, but in my middle class home we didn’t 🤷🏻♀️
So now, I obviously appreciate and I’m greatly grateful for lots of home appliances 😆 and I know there are a few that make my life easier and will do my best to have around.
For me, the 1️⃣ thing I can’t live without are books!
I’ve been reading since I was a teenager, and for this introvert, books are my best entertainment and my best friends
2️⃣ would be a vacuum.... come on! I can’t remember the last time I used a broom 🤦🏻♀️ even though to be honest is not the most friendly with the environment, it does make cleaning faster and easier. And it feels like we have less time every month over here
3️⃣ Tennis shoes! That’s right! Okay maybe leggings and tennis shoes 🤣 but I am all for being comfortable and have never enjoy heels, or being bare foot for long.

December is my favorite month! I mean, hello birthday month! 🤣
So of course how couldn’t it be my favorite of the year 😆
I can’t wait to go to all the Christmas lights drive-thru (since that’s the way this year 😅)...
Can’t wait for all the activities I have plan for the kids this month 😱 (so many presents and treats involved 🤣)
And of course all the music and decorations... can you notice how much I love this month? 🤣

So sure, 3 miles might not be such a big deal for some people 😅 but it is for me!
It is a big deal when you have never run that distance before; and it is a big deal when you have breathing issues. It is a big deal when you have a preview knee and ankle injury 🙄
So yes, it is a big deal for me 🤣 and I am extremely proud for accomplishing this. Now I just hope I can continue running, and getting better and better with time.
But none of this would have been possible without preparation! Without training for it, and not just by running but by also doing strength workouts and of course, fueling my body with the right nutrition.
Maybe you are new here, or have been here for a while now, and keep wishing you could be as committed as I am 🤔
The truth is, YOU CAN BE! My workouts only last 30 mins 🤣 and my nutrition allows me to eat basically everything I love 🤷🏻♀️
It isn’t hard, you just have to make the decision and take action!

Tips to survive Thanksgiving dinner
1. Eat a healthy breakfast!
Start your day with a breakfast high in protein and fiber. Something as simple as two eggs and a slice of whole wheat bread can go a long way.
2. Don’t go overboard on appetizers.
Yes, those scream our names sometimes, especially all the types of cheese, but fill you plate with veggies first and most, and then leave some space to indulge on one or two of appetizers.
3. Watch your portion sizes.
This is a big one of this day, people tent to overate on thanksgiving. So go for a small plate and/or make sure half your plate is fill with veggies.
4. Enjoy your favorite dishes!
Thanksgiving only happens once a year. So enjoy it! While practicing mindfulness! Don’t limit yourself from enjoying your favorite dishes, simply choose smaller portions of it. And truly enjoy each bite!
5. Try healthier versions of your favorite recipes.
I started doing this last year and it makes me enjoy and not feel guilt after! Check out the recipes on the link in my bio, and swap some of your regular sides for a healthier version.
6. Cook a better bird.
There a different ways to cook a turkey, find a better way to cook it if needed, or go for chicken or another kind of animal protein.
7. Get everyone involve.
If you have any guess, ask them to bring a healthy side dish or dessert. If they don’t know or have one, provide them with one. But take the pressure off from having to do everything.
8. Go easy on the booze.
Drinking too much increases your cravings for salt, which makes you eat more than you intent. So limit yourself to one drink before dinner and one after.
9. Forgive yourself.
Did you read my tips and still overeat? Okay, fine! Don’t beat yourself up about it, get over it and move on!
The next day go for a walk, do a fun workout (I can provide you with one if you don’t know what to do) and just do better the following day.
10. Remember why you are there.
Between the food and the football game, pause and think about what you are thankful for this year. It might have been a hard one and unique year but we still have something to be thankful for every day!

Today I officially finished my running program 🤯 I can’t believe it!
One more program is in the books for me, and this one was especial.... I now want to continue running (as long as weather permits) at least twice a week!
Running was so energizing 😱 every single day I had a run, was a productive and a good day 🤯 and this is coming from someone doing cardio and strength from home for over a year now 🤷🏻♀️
This week I’ll attempt to run my first 5K, I know it won’t be easy, breathing while running is still difficult for me sometimes (depending on how humid it’s around here), my pace isn’t great either 🤣 (I might be a little slow) but I decided I was gonna do it on Thanksgiving Day....
What better way to celebrate this day than by being grateful for my entire body, for accomplishing so much this year despite everything that has happened 😉
The best part, you could be celebrating the same on December 31st 😊 you still have 5 weeks to accomplish a lot! To change your life!
What better present could you give yourself this year than working on your physical health? 🤔

🍁 SAVE THIS POST FOR A SUPER CUTE AND FUN THANKSGIVING ACTIVITY 🍂
Yeah, I love crafts 🤣 it helps I spend many hours with three little ones that are very into art and crafts 👏🏼
Which means I always have to come up with new, fun and creative things to do with them 🤨 (still thinking about a smaller version of that tree for this year)
We made this fall tree last year for thanksgiving, they all loved it and it was great to talk with them about this holiday, and about gratitud 😊
Each kid got to write as many things they were grateful for as they wanted (on the leaves), and even little girl participated (I wrote for her but she was very clear about things she was grateful for, like toys 😉, and ME! 🥰)
It is actually a very easy tree to set up, you can make it smaller or go big as I did, and all you need is construction paper or a poster board. And with a quick Pinterest or google search you can easily find leave templates ready to print and replicate as many times as you need 😌

I never seem to have time to make it to the gym!!! 😫
Definitely something I used to say! But hey I was the queen of excuses in case you don’t know 😅
Since I can remember (seriously! I was like 15 years old!) I have had “weight” issues according to my mom (still love her despite her feelings for overweight issues 🤣), which meant having a gym membership and trying to make it there as often as possible!
I never did! I would probably go a few times and then get bored and be done with it!
It didn’t change once I got older okay! It stayed pretty much the same! In fact! 4 years ago we paid a very good amount of money (like a thousand dollars!) for a CrossFit gym 🙄🤦🏻♀️ and I never made it once there!!! 😩
Obviously all of this was over once I found my Netflix of workouts!! Guess what!
💥I don’t get bored working out!
💥I understood that nutrition is important!!
💥And my gym is a few feet away from me!!
So can’t even make up excuses anymore 🤣 even if I wanted to!!
Oh the best part! 💸 is affordable! 👏🏼
I don’t know about you, but I’d want to be part of this community and change my life just as me and many others have!

This little one has been into making videos lately! 🤣
I just don’t record her because I think she is cute... which she obviously is! 😊 but because she asks me to do it and then she starts with ‘welcome to my channel’ or ‘welcome to story time’ 🤷🏻♀️🤣
So while she enjoys it and allows me to record her, I’ll continue doing it 😉
Also, using this book to work on Letter J this week has been a great way for her to recognize that letter (with which she was having issues remembering a few weeks ago).
And also helps her use her imagination 👏🏼
So if you don’t have anything to do, listen some of her story today, she obviously tells it her own way 🤣 so don’t worry it won’t be the same story you probably already know.

I honestly can’t believe is already November! Can you?
I remember in March wishing time will go fast 🙄 and summer felt SO long! 😅 probably because we couldn’t go out as usual 🤷🏻♀️
But I feel like October came and now the days are just flying by!!! 🤯 what is happening!
I feel like I still need and want to get so much done in 2020 😅
So that’s exactly what I did today. This morning sat down and set some realistic and simple goals I want to accomplish this month!
And of course the steps I need to take to make those happen 😉
So hey keep me accountable as well!
My alarm is set for 6:30am during the week! And I am committed to stick to it! 👏🏼 I need extra time to work on my business 😅 so small steps considering I am not a morning person!
Another goal is to be in bed not later than 10:00pm 🙌🏼 Which will help me to wake up early 🤣
So here is for Nov and accomplishing your goals before 2020 is over! 🤩

🎃 Halloween isn’t cancel! 👻 heck no!!!
You don’t have to stop celebrating this holiday 🤷🏻♀️ you just have to do it better and safer... and there are plenty of ways to do it!
My kids are not gonna trick or treating this year, which I am 100% with. It is your decision as a parent to take whatever decision you think is better, safer and suits your family 😉
But I definitely didn’t want the kids to miss out on anything (specially since they are being homeschool now 😅 and have lost all other “fun” school activities).
🎃 I decided to throw them a Halloween Party 👻
Just us, but that’s just enough and plenty! Believe me 🤣
First, costumes were required 👻
Then, we had a special lunch while watching a movie, they chose 😋 and
After, it was time to play games 👏🏼
Easy games, that I made with things at hand (I made them all by myself, and didn’t spend more than $5 dollars, considering I had most of the things already)
Oh, and fun snacks of course!!! And tons of candy 🍭 🍬
We had orange and green jell-o, Halloween cupcakes (that were pretty good! Pre made mix, and you can find the whole kit in my store )
And the best part of all, for them 🤣 their special Halloween baskets, fill with candy and two toys (Legos which they are into and something else different, unique to each of them, hot wheels, little pony and lipstick)
We had a crazy, busy and super fun day! They were (okay we all were) exhausted at the end 🤣 but it was all worthy! 😊

Oh and we had Halloween music playing the entire time 🎼

It is okay not to be okay, and your life can be perfect, everything can be fine around you, and you still can feel anxious!
Anxiety as any other mental issues are real! And they actually happen to more people than you think...
Some just might feel ashamed to talk about it (Latinos have a huge stereotype about this issue by the way).
But you need to ask for help, or look for help when you need it. Your mental health is as important as anything else in your life.
If I feel anxious I just don’t stay there anymore, where I can’t move and just crawl under the covers and feel sorry for everything.
No!
You need to first, acknowledge your feelings, recognize every thing you are feeling in that moment, and think about what made you feel that way.
Then, take a deep breath, get out of bed (yes this is not gonna be easy!), and go do something that makes you happy! Something that usually makes you feel well.
In my case, working out and cleaning makes me feel good. It’s something that keeps me mentally and physically busy.
But the most important thing, look for professional help if you feel you can’t overcome it alone!
Therapy is okay! And it is available for anyone! Ask for references on good therapists and make an appointment.
Again, the first step, it’s to recognize your feelings, then do something about it, but don’t stay there!
You are important! Your life matters! And you need to be physically and mentally well!
Dessert time!!!!
This is one my favorite chocolate fixes 🤣 and I LOVE CHOCOLATE!
-1 scoop Chocolate Superfoods (or the protein powder you use)
-Less than 1 tsp of baking powder
-1 egg
-Unsweetened Almond milk (let’s say 1/4 cup but I honestly just try and get cake consistency)
-Sprinkle some mini semi sweet chocolate chips (or 1 Tbsp)
Mix ingredients well! And microwave for 1.5 mins or 2 mins (it depends on your microwave). Let stand for 1 minute. Then get it in your plate, add any toppings of your liking (I usually do whipped cream which is low in calories or peanut butter; fruit when is breakfast or early snack), and put it in your belly! 😋
Oh and yes! Some of my eggshell went in there 🤣 I got out as much as I could 🤷🏻♀️ but hey, that’s real life 😅 there’s nothing wrong with getting some extra calcium right! 🤣

Anyone else feels this way on Mondays? 🤔
I honestly don’t dread Monday anymore 😊 yeah, at some point I did, and it was hard to wake up Monday morning, okay to be completely honest, it was hard going to sleep on Sunday night, just because I wasn’t ready for the week to start again 🙄
My actual feeling about Monday is the opposite now! 😱 not lying! I look forward to Monday 😅
Why? First my week it’s planned 🤷🏻♀️ which helps me big time! Meals, activities for the kids, and work times are all ready! 🙌🏼
And second, I love my workout routine on Mondays 🤯 it is usually an intense and high energy routine, which feels perfect to start the week with!
This week I was really looking forward to the running part of my workout 🤣 I don’t even recognize myself sometimes, excited about running 😅 seriously! 🤣
But it is the truth!
Don’t you wish to have a workout routine you’ll look forward to instead of dreading it? 🤔
Well that’s my case every day 🤷🏻♀️

But it’s okay! At the end is all worthy! 😊 and I honestly love everything about my life right now! I’ve grown, I’ve learn and continue working toward my goals 👏🏼

Why is it so hard for us to take risks?
I am not one for taking a lot of risk 😅 it’s really hard for me to make a change and let go (controlling person here). Once I do something certain way, that’s pretty much for me 🙄 I’d do things that way forever!
But I’ve learn that I actually need to make certain risks sometimes 🤷🏻♀️ because the outcome can be better than I though or imagine
I see you looking at my stories every day, liking my posts every week. And I read your messages and comments saying that you wish you could be as committed as me 🙄
Well, why aren’t you?
Believe me, my life isn’t easier than yours 😅 I have daily struggles (hello migraines and anxiety). And I have the same amount of hours in a day as you 🤷🏻♀️
You can choose to commit to your health the same way! All you need is 30 minutes a day 🤔
Hmmm 30 minutes from 24 hours you have in the day; doesn’t seem too hard, doesn’t it?
So what is really keeping you from making that decision?
Here is the thing, I don’t care if I have to deal with constant migraines lately and all the pms symptoms. I am committing in the next few weeks to train for a 5K, and I promise you and myself, I’ll run one at the end of that training!

Here is a simple and delicious recipe!
Chocolate, peanut butter, and bananas are all delicious on their own, but put them together and you have an incredibly scrumptious treat that will make you swoon.
This sweet quesadilla tastes like it should be off-limits in any healthy diet, but every once in a while you can “cheat clean” with one of these.
For something so decadent, it has only 300 calories, and provides 7 grams of protein and 3 grams of fiber.
Ingredients
-1 (6-inch) whole wheat tortilla
-1 Tbsp. all-natural smooth peanut butter
-½ large banana, thinly sliced
-1 Tbsp. dark chocolate (or semi-sweet) morsels
Instructions
-Spread half of tortilla with peanut butter.
-Top peanut butter with banana and chocolate morsels. Fold tortilla in half; cook in medium nonstick skillet over medium-high heat, for 4 to 5 minutes, turning once, until chocolate is melted and tortilla is golden brown.

One year can make a huge difference! 🤯
So much has changed this year, and we all have gone through new situations we never though we would live!
But you know what? I have changed so much! Mentally and physical, in just one year! And even though it’s been a hard year, I have accomplish a lot of things and make progress in so many ways 👏🏼
Just this past week I’ve noticed so much improvement in my body! And technically I still have to lose around 10 or 15 more pounds to fit into what’s consider a “healthy” or “acceptable” BMI for my age and height.
I am committed to this lifestyle 😊 and I am so ready to take on yet another challenge 😱
I don’t know about you, but I am not a runner 🤣 I like it and have done it before (when I lived in cold cities). But I am ready to give running another chance...
This time the right way though!
I’ll be starting a running program that includes strength training as well, and at the end we’ll be able to run a 5K (which I have never done!)
You can join me! You’ll train for only 30 days! 😱 and we can do a virtual run, so it doesn’t matter where you are, we can do this together! 👏🏼

Probably one of my favorite things about this time of year.... all the activities I can make with the kids 🤣
Little girl obviously loved this one 😂 and her big sis and brother liked it as well... maybe because they all ended up eating some of those sprinkles 😋
But is there a more fun way to learn than while eating treats? 🙄
