Retail is just stores buying their goods from wholesale companies and reselling it to consumers at a marked up price. For example, Walmart is a retailer. They buy their products in bulk for pennies on the dollar, then resell the products to us at a higher price. Although their prices are low, they are still making money because they bought it cheaper.
