Butterfield5
Message me or send email to [email protected] I am the designer and maker of Butterfield5 jewellery and Little Things Handmade mobiles.
As long as I can remember, I have had a compulsion to make things with my hands. Through Butterfield5 and Little Things I aim to bring nature a little closer. I work from my Melbourne studio surrounded by inanimate butterflies and a rainbow of gemstones.

Change of plans! I've decided to skip the market this weekend and instead give myself a little more time to get organised for Christmas. Apologies to anyone hoping to drop by. Of course you can always contact me directly via facebook or the website if there's anything I can help you with. Merry Christmas everyone and best wishes for a fabulous 2012... let's hope Santa won't need his suit again this year and instead gets to crack out the board shorts!
Next Sunday I'll be at my final market for 2011 at the gorgeous art deco Rivoli Cinemas in Camberwell. If you're looking for a unique something made with ingenuity, imagination and a little love, drop in to explore the market located around the Heritage Foyer from noon to 5pm
One of the best things about handmade markets is immersing yourself in a community of creative minds... these butterflies were inspired by a conversation I had last weekend and will be coming with me, along with some others, to the Handmade Show tomorrow, December 10th.
Handmade Show is on again tomorrow in Carnegie - the last one for 2011 as we creep ever closer to the night the big man makes his way down your chimney. Drop by to shop handmade treasures including delicious soy candles by Karinya, Appleberry Kids accessories, sumptuous bags, wallets and homewares by Juniper Designs and the most intriguing paper art (quilling) by Majaska, to name only a few. Don't forget to fill in an entry form while you're there to enter the draw for one of 3 amazing gift hampers valued at almost $700!
If you're in the neighborhood I'd love to see you on Saturday at the St Dunstans Christmas Market in Wattle Valley Road, Camberwell 9am to 1pm. Find christmas gifts, stationary, trash and treasure, homemade craft lovliness, produce, cakes, refreshments and of course ME!
About to head down to the Handmade Show to set up... I'd love to see you there if you're looking for lovely handmade goodies this Christmas http://www.thehandmadeshow.blogspot.com/

I recently spent a morning working with Etienne's 3/4 year old kinder group to make suncatchers using ceramic, glass and plastic beads. The process was simple and the results were great. The kids were quite proud to show off their creations with family and friends! Check out the sun catcher photos for more detail.
