Another image for my book, Worldview.
It's a work-in-progress, but nearly done. All painted from scratch in Photoshop.
Backstory: One of the few remaining coastal industrial facilities, due to be decommissioned and replaced by a more advanced version.

Another work in progress for my digital art book, Worldview. Some extremely tall buildings this time round! I will be coming back to this, as with all the others, when the book is populated with enough material.
Update. Some mighty tall buildings and structures here. Again, it's rough at this stage, ready to be finished at some point in the future...
This time I've created a single page concept for my new book. As with all my images, these will be finished when I have enough page-mockups in place.
Update of the day! Here's another single page initial sketch in development. Actually, it's a bit further on from the initial stage. This is probably going to be an inside-cover image. I still need to compose all the elements and close it in a bit. For the time being it will sit with the other images until the bulk of the book is taking shape. Then I'll start finalising images in the final stage of design.
Another 2-page spread-concept here. The ingredients are in place, so the next stage is to refine the artwork to a high standard.
Here's another update on another spread. This time I'm creating a resource-mining station. A very early example of a sketch here. At this stage I have deliberately left the structures in a state of 'vagueness', so as to not commit to anything too early on. It's time to research some structures and upgrade the designs I think! I also had to bare in mind that there is no atmosphere on the moon, so no opportunities to 'knock back' the more distant elements using atmospheric perspective or 'fog'. Objects have to be carefully arranged, as contrast is always at maximum in outer space. Something far away can be as contrasted as something close by etc.
