Vingt flying in our xc lessons over weekend, he was unreal
Vingt is back from his holidays and has spent the past few weeks hacking and has been out training the last couple of weeks he seems to be back even better and we are looking forward to the season ahead, a little snippet of him this morning 🥰 he loved being out with his friends again this morning, as did I 🤎
If you are wondering what vingt it up to at the moment he’s currently on his well deserved holidays with his friends Arthur and Xev the Belgium draft c**t who he gets on well with, he’s such a good boy for a stallion. It’s so important he gets some pony time he is a very happy boy 🤎
Vingt Stood waiting with Polly 🤎🤎
Crossing the canal 👌🤎
Not only is Vingt a little superstar at a competition he’s also a little superstar on hacks, he had a great afternoon riding around Worsley yesterday (perfectly behaved with my mare he was hacking with as always) he hacked down the A6, crossed the East lancs A580, he’s not phased by the heavy traffic Manchester has to throw at us , fire engines, motorbikes, roadworks etc. we then went through beautiful woodland and on to open fields where families were playing football , having picnics etc. At one point a dog ran over barking and he stood like a rock until the owner could catch and put a lead on 👌, he showed the way over a little cobble hump bridge crossing bridgewater canal. We even stopped for refreshments and he was fussed by lots of people and children. I couldn’t ask for a better behaved stallion he’s such a pleasure 🤎
Vingt went to a dressage clinic yesterday with Peter Farrelly at Yates Farm, we did lots of stretching exercises to open up his frame and work through his back. He picked everything up very quickly and Peter was impressed how quickly he learns and said he’s a very clever pony as well as beautiful to look at.
I wish I would learn as quickly to sit up 🙈 🙏😅
We look forward to our next session 😊 lots of homework to take away and work on in prep for some winter dressage and next seasons shows/events
At home Vingt has also had lots of field time with his friends as well as hacking out. He’s such a happy friendly boy 🤎
Vingt absolutely smashed his first event yesterday, he felt amazing. Such class 🤩 He’s such a happy boy. He was like an old pro and gained lots of admirers too 🤎 he even stood perfect when a loose horse galloped across the warm up. What a clever boy. Perfect from start to finish 🫶🏼 He had on his Manchester bee quarter marks , they looked great 🐝
Lucky the weather didn’t get too hot as we was on in the morning 🙌🏼 but he has his fan in the box, it was super cool 😎 and regular hosing and electrolytes. (Plus carrots and apples of course) nothing less than he deserves 👑
We have nothing planned now apart from camp in September as he’s still only 5 . When it cools down he will just do some hacking and have some fun before he goes on his holidays for a well earned break in the big field to be a pony with his friend Arthur. (He goes out every day still with his friends atm but this is a bigger field for his holidays)
Vingt went training over weekend Somerford Park Farm 01260299888 in prep for his first event, as usual he was a little superstar showing his bravery, style and class. He’s so athletic! What a clever boy. Thanks Maddy Moffett for the super session as always 👌
And Joanna Prestwich for the photos 😊
Well Vingt went to The Royal Cheshire Horse Show yesterday to jump round the HOYS 133m&m workers. He was first to jump and did a class clear round including a huge bullfinch. He got another top ten placing (9th) which is amazing especially as he’s just 5 years old, he was foot perfect all day.
That’s his debut workers season done for this year as I feel he has achieved more than I could have wished for already this season.
So next month he’s going to do something different and go Eventing! He loves XC and it will be great to see how we get on in the dressage also
We are aiming for him to have a well deserved holiday at the end of summer 🤎
Vingt has had a busy couple of days, first nannying a lovely (big) young mare round Somerford Park Farm 01260299888 farm ride. He was a perfect nanny giving confidence to “Caramel” trotting and popping some small jumps to give a lead in a very quiet manner, up and down steps and through water , then was happy to wait behind when caramel found her feet 💛🤎
Then Yesterday he hacked out on a Jubilee yard ride, going up the A6 , narrow paths, through tunnels, past train tracks, over wooden bridges , he passed bunting and flags happily. He was happy to lead, sit in the middle or at the back in the company of mares and geldings.
What a good boy he is. He’s having a well earned couple of days off now
Vingt (pronounced Van or Vahn as we tend to call him, there’s a story behind his name that I will save for another day) had a go at his first Hoys qualifier today at Stoneleigh park and not only did he jump a fantastic clear he even got a placing (7th out of 27!) such a good result for a 5 year old pony.
Vingt has done some jump training at home today in preparation for tomorrow’s show 🤎 he enjoys the jumping so much, he’s not phased by any spooky fillers
Vingt having a quick schooling this morning before going into the field for a play and roll 🤎
Vingt has a different kind of company today, he loves all the animals at the farm he’s super kind to everyone 🤎 here he is happily grazing with our pet pigs Hank and Huell
Vingt having a play out in a different paddock today showing off his moves 🤎
Vingt has has a super training session this morning with our Trainer Craig Harthern. He was such a good boy 🤎
As a stallion I make sure Vingt also gets to be a pony and have freedom, Meet Arthur who is a very talented pony in his own right (although Arthur is extremely quirky 😈🤭) and he’s Vingts field companion, Vingt goes out in the field every day and often has a month or more holiday on our big field. I believe although he has a job which he loves he needs time to be him 🤎🤍
Also at camp this time show jump training, Vingt is not phased about fillers , colours etc , he really enjoys his job. Look at him fly 🤎
Vingt at Somerford Park Farm 01260299888 camp last weekend showing how bold and confident he is through water
I’ve created this group for those wanting to follow Vingt’s progess 🤎 and see what he gets upto at home etc 💞
