Congratulations!

Congratulations to Florida Wing’s newest recipient of the General Carl Andrew Spaatz Award: Cadet Colonel Michael Mollison (Award # 2385).

Named after the USAF’s first Chief of Staff, the Spaatz Award is Civil Air Patrol’s highest cadet honor and “is presented to cadets who have demonstrated excellence in leadership, character, fitness, and aerospace education.” There have been very few cadets to ever achieve this award since its inception in 1964.

Cadet Colonel Mollison started his CAP career in March 2016 with the Birchwood Composite Squadron in Alaska Wing. In 2017, Michael Mollison served overseas in the Yokota Cadet Squadron in Japan where he attended an overseas encampment. Cadet Mollison ultimately transferred to the Wesley Chapel Cadet Squadron, Florida Wing in September 2019. Cadet Colonel Mollison serves as the current cadet Commander of Wesley Chapel Cadet Squadron.

C/Col Mollison's accomplishments include Cadet of the Year, AFA Cadet of the Year, 2020 1st place Team finish at the Florida Wing Cadet Competition, and attendance at the Civil Air Patrol National Cyber Academy.

C/Col Mollison aspires to receive a degree in finance/business administration

Please join us in congratulating C/Col Mollison on this incredible accomplishment!
