many moons ago & i set out to make a campy pop song inspired by a creepy children’s game✨digging into the ritual of “light as a feather, stiff as a board” made me realize how much symbolism it holds✨a group of kids at a sleepover raising their friend from the dead, finding secret power in the little cracks of adolescence✨it seeped into the cracks of my own depleted power bank at the time, and helped me recharge and rebirth myself✨i hope it does the same for you as we enter the season of darkness and rebirth✨

💧 ACTION AT A DISTANCE💧 out july 15th 💧cancer season marks a year since i wrote this song for my grandma as she prepared to cross dimensions and i got to play it for her just days before she passed. it was a lullaby for her to drift off to & a way to channel my own grief, not necessarily a song i planned to share with the world. but when the wonderful women of .records asked if i had any songs for their zodiac series that would suit cancer season (the sentimental sign of ✨the mother✨), i couldn’t ignore the cosmic opportunity to release this song for the anniversary of my grandmother’s passing. it has since evolved from a lullaby into a synth-driven, wall of sound ballad thanks to production from our new dear friend 💕

after a long hiatus from releasing music, i never imagined that our next single would be a ballad written about my grandma’s death but here we are, and we cannot wait for you to hear it!!! 🥲 excited to kick open the gates to lots of new music💥pre-save link in bio ✨
