It’s our 5 year anniversary!! I’ve said before, The Chronically Illest wouldn’t have ever happened without Enia- but if I’m truly being real and honest, I don’t know if I’d even be here without her. I met Enia when I was the most depressed and burnt out I have EVER been in my 18 years of living with diabetes. I was in college struggling with a lot of things- I was in out of the hospital with DKA frequently. I was not getting to drs appointments, and not being able to get my dexcoms, pump supplies, and sometimes insulin. I started going to church bc a Lyft driver invited me and I was at an all time low lol. We met there and become friends. I remember praying to myself and literally saying “if you have someone you’re going to send to help me with my diabetes, send them NOW- OR, make me stronger, because I can’t do it anymore” 😭 Enia began asking about my medical devices, appointments, offering to help me schedule them and giving me rides to and from. She took interest in learning about Type 1- I told her about my idea to start the Chronically Illest and she asked me every Sunday how it was going- our friendship grew over 2 years and somewhere in the middle we fell in love and I realized my prayer was answered. This love transcended everything I knew about myself and love in general, I fell in love with her before I knew I was gay 🤭. I do believe a higher power brought me a partner and saved my life and I don’t take it for granted. In diabetes we have to carry a lot alone, and if I am honest with myself, I don’t think I’m always strong enough- but now I don’t have to be. ❤️🥹

PRESENTING our ✨new✨ co-pay giveaways! I firmly believe no one should have to pay for insulin whether your co-pay is $5 or $50, that money should be going somewhere else not towards the thing that cost pennies to make that we need to live like people need air and water..
SO, whatever we can, we will be posting co-pay giveaways!! How much your current insulin co-pay is blue, and you’ll be entered into a raffle. In ONE WEEK, we will draw winners and Venmo you your co-pay so that you can put that money that you normally spend on insulin towards LITERALLY anything else.
Open to everyone 💙

Who else had to do a christmas site change??? 😩 happy holidays from The Chronically Illest team!! -Rachael, Enia, Teddy, & Annie 💞
I turned 30 yesterday!!!! I celebrated extra extra big w/ a RIP to my 20s party last weekend bc honestly there were many many times I thought diabetes would prevent me from making it here. I struggled A LOT in my early-mid 20s- multiple DKAs, health insurance issues, abusive relationships, struggling w/ mental health, diabetes complications - I spent ALOT of time in hospital beds. I was trying my best, but sometimes life is hard even without diabetes - then you gotta throw that in the mix 😅. Two of my diabesties showed up for me and I was super grateful bc they TRULY understand how difficult it is to just survive sometimes. They get me. One, we’re all diabaddies 💅 Two, all of us were diagnosed as children. And three, ALL lf us are dealing w/ complications and have the same bad right eye 🤭. These girls mean the world to me- they understand with no judgement and we are all here for each other to vent about our lives and our diabetes and celebrate the accomplishments and milestones in each others lives. 💞 The friends I have are my biggest accomplishment in life and I am so grateful to have made so many meaningful connections with people and continue to do so in the next decade 😃💕
Happy Giving Tuesday. We created The Chronically Illest Emergency Insulin Fund because we believe no one should struggle to afford insulin. As we continue to grow - we save a portion of each purchase and use it to donate to Go Fund Me’s or directly to our followers who need help with their insulin costs or copays. We believe in giving back to other diabetics above everything else - if you need help, please reach out (you can stay anonymous). Today, 100% of every purchase will go directly to TCI Emergency Insulin Fund. 💙💙💙💙
The most adorable diabaddie yet!!!! Hope these pics of .life.with.lukas in our diabaddie hat bring you as much joy as they brought us!! 🥰

Happy World Diabetes Day!!! I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at 12 years old. It changed my whole life & became my whole life. It’s become one of my biggest passions in life to share my story and educate people about what having diabetes is REALLY actually like- the highs & the lows, the good, bad, and ugly. It is a serious and ugly disease that has brought me LOTS of pain- but also, an incredible community of the strongest people I have ever met in this life 💙 An extra happy diabetes day to my fellow diabaddies & diabadasses- it doesn’t stop but neither do we!!!! 💙✨
