Soul Principle is a rare Australian RnB acoustic band who produces the sounds of funk, RnB, Bar Grooves, Pop, Classics and the latest releases into a unique sound. Soul Principle was formed in the suburban town of Menai, Sydney, Australia by Dane Nikora and Matt Lewis, who both shared a love for physical fitness and met in a gym. The band name came from a website “Band Name Builder”, where several
choices were made, but “Soul Principle” stuck for its obvious play on words. By day, Dane is a partnership broker as well as being a personal trainer, whilst Matt is a primary school principal. Together, bringing their past band experiences to the fore, they have been honing the talents in music, ready for gigging around Sydney and hopefully wider down the track. During 2012, the boys have been posting some of their funky acoustic covers on their page, and since publishing the site in late January 2012, have developed a healthy fan base of keen followers. Whilst fine tuning a live show act and producing these online videos, they have been creating their own original material for a debut album, but as yet, remain unsigned by a record company. The band features 2 male vocals and harmonies, fused with an acoustic guitar sound, allowing this compact act to perform in many styles that has established them as a leading live circuit and function band. Soul Principle’s repertoire can be adapted to any live situation.
