Dear Members,
The ASCE FL Southwest Branch is excited to share with you this year’s ASCE FL Southwest Branch Scholarship Application. Please DM us your email for the 2024 Scholarship Application for any applicable FGCU U.A. Whitaker College of Engineering students. The deadline for the application submissions is March 17, 2024.
In addition, the Southwest Branch is excited to announce that we will be accepting nominations for various award categories. The awards, as well as the scholarships, will be presented to the member-nominated engineers/projects at a banquet in April. We kindly request that all nominations be sent to [email protected] before March 17, 2024.
We encourage all members to participate and recognize the outstanding contributions of our colleagues in the local engineering community.
The qualification for the award categories will follow the criteria and purpose of the ASCE Florida Section awards. Please DM us your email for the ASCE Florida Section Award information. Winners of the Southwest Branch categories will be submitted to the Florida Section as the final Southwest Branch’s nominations.

ASCE FL Southwest Branch and the Southwest Florida Water Resources Committee, along with local organizations, are excited to invite you to attend the 33rd Annual Southwest Florida Water Resources Conference taking place January 26th, 2024, at the FGCU Student Union in Fort Myers, Florida.
The conference is administered and supported by a partnership of organizations including: AWRA-FL, Alpha Epsilon Lamda, ASCE, Audubon of SWFL, Calusa Waterkeeper, FES, FGCU, FSAWWA-Region V, Kissimmee Waterkeeper, REIS, and SWFAEP. The goal of the conference is to provide attendees with the opportunity to hear from speakers with experience in water resources, and to be given important updates, information, and discussion on the Water Resources in the Southwest Florida Region.
We are excited to offer a 2024 Conference Field Trip on Saturday, January 27th, 2024. The field trip will be a guided hike on the beautiful CREW Flint Pen Strand Trails The hike will begin at 9:00am and will end around 11:00am. The address will be provided in your confirmation email.

A.N.A.’s Friends is a nonprofit organization serving Abused, Neglected, & Abandoned kids in SWFL.

The ASCE FL Southwest Branch is excited to share with you the next Members' Monthly Meeting presenting Jason Sciandra, PE, PMP from City of Fort Myers' Utility Division.
During the meeting, Jason will be discussing the current and future projects for the City of Fort Myers. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the infrastructure developments happening in your community.

The ASCE FL Southwest Branch is excited to share with you an upcoming meeting that we believe will be of great interest to you. The event will feature a panel of professionals in civil engineering who will provide short speeches about their work and disciplines to students in the local area. This is an excellent opportunity for students to gain insight into the various types of work that civil engineering has to offer.
After the speeches, the panelists will be available to talk with students who are interested in their particular discipline. This will be a great chance for students to ask questions and learn more about these fields.
The meeting will conclude with additional networking opportunities at World of Beer, located in Gulf Coast Town Center. We highly recommend attending this event, as it promises to be an informative and valuable experience.
