I feel like the job of interior design and decorating is definitely a luxury not a necessity. I realize not everyone can afford to spend money on creating a beautiful space, so I struggle with feeling like the job I do is frivolous because it is not accessible for everyone. I want everyone to love their home but spending money on design is not always in the budget. I love how the wood in this kitchen works so well with the existing stone fireplace. When designing a kitchen you have to work with the existing elements. A white kitchen would have not worked with the earthy stone fireplace. Walnut accents and and dark blue cabinets were the perfect solution to update this kitchen and complement the other elements of the home.
