Combat Advisor Team 5330, 5th Security Force Assistance Brigade - SFAB and officers from across the Philippine Army conducted a culminating joint land navigation course on May 30, 2023.
The training event marked the end of a weeklong instructional on map reading & land navigation as a part of the Infantry Officer Advance Course 172-23 at the Training and Doctrine Command Maneuver Center, in Fort Magsaysay, Nueva Ecija, Philippines.
1st Sgt. Dustin Peregrin, CAT 5330, presented a coin to Capt. Ong, the officer in charge of leading the training, noting that it was physically and mentally challenging and had sharpened CAT 5330's land navigation skills.

Today, the is better prepared to serve as a naval expeditionary force-in-readiness alongside being better suited to support joint campaigns. While accelerating modernization is essential, our warfighting capabilities are only as effective as the Marines employing them. Our remain the key to sustaining and improving our competitive advantages.
Continued experimentation and learning will undoubtedly uncover additional refinements to improve the force. However, feedback from Fleet Marine Forces, fielding of new equipment and technologies, and experimentation of new tactics, have thus far have resulted in a Marine Corps that is better organized, trained and equipped to meet global challenges of the 21st century.

— The Integrated Defense Leadership Course is designed to provide Air Force Security Forces members with intensely focused, hands-on training to achieve and maintain combat readiness.
1st Combat Aviation Brigade, 1st Infantry Division participated in Overwater Survival Training. OST consists of three components: overwater academics, day and night simulator periods, and shallow water egress trainer. SWET prepares aviators to remain calm and utilize their training in case of an overwater event.

Contested gap crossings are one of the most complex military operations. The assigned to 1st Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division and our Karelian Allies conducted several gap crossings during LOCK 23. Finnish engineers laid bridges over lakes and rivers, ensuring Mustangs and Karelian tanks and infantry could cross natural obstacles and maintain offensive tempo.
