A recent study shows that people who own an absurd amount of yarn live longer...than people who point it out.😛

We are shocked and saddened to hear that XRX, Inc. has shuttered its business and with it, the fiber community has lost the . Many of us have loved and cherished these long-standing events as a hub for creativity, connection, and inspiration. From students and attendees to instructors and vendors, along with the XRX staff, all are feeling the loss both emotionally and financially.
We encourage those impacted to reach out to us about attending, teaching, or being a vendor at an upcoming Maker Festivals event. We're here for our fiber arts community to support and grow your love of your crafts and we hope you'll consider joining us at one of our future Yarn Fest events to learn new skills, connect with like-minded individuals, and share our love for knitting, crochet, spinning, and more.
Warmly,
The Interweave & Yarn Fest Teams
** This post has been updated to reflect our concern for the many people impacted by the news, including instructors, vendors, and customers.

Hello Friends,
Just a quick post to remind/share: Ravelry is a wonderful social network for us knitters and crocheters. Just a few neat things about it:
1) you can search for patterns of every kind, from those done by professionals to those we create ourselves.
2) There are some great tools for managing both projects and your yarn stash.
3) There are many groups you can join to socialize with others who do what you do.
My hope is that you check it out and explore and find more members of your tribe. And for those who are already aware and involved my hope is that you share your experience and love so that we can all be on your journey with you.
Peace and Blessings

For this reboot, I wanted to share something to help those who may not understand hand crafting. It is a personal journey through the process of starting with nothing but a few resources and creating something hopefully esthetically pleasing and useful. There is a lot of effort put into and I believe most crafters put a lot of love in their work. So when you are blessed to witness either the beginning, process, or end result, please treat it with the regard that is due. This page is moderated from this context. And I hope that those who are witnesses get some of the blessing of the joy that goes into the work. God bless.
