An update on the Mussel Inn Masters tournament from our trusted tournament coordinator:

"Just to let you know that GBAFC have decided that the Mussel Inn Masters will now become a biyearly event.

This has been influenced by the resurrected South Island Masters Games by Marlborough Council. The South Island Masters Games will run this year again in 2021.

As such there will be no Mussel Inn Masters this year but instead it will be at the same time in 2022. From now on we will rotate it every two years in between the South Island Masters Games held in Marlborough.

We look forward to welcoming you back to Golden Bay in 2022 and would like to express our appreciation for the amazing support we have received thus far."

Mussel Inn Masters 2020 was a huge success! A big thank you to all the teams who came to participate from Nelson/Tasman, Wellington and Timaru. We really appreciate your support for our little tournament.

Great effort everyone. We can now confirm that we have 8 men's teams and 4 women's teams entered for this years Masters tournament. It's going to be a great weekend of football, fun and laughs. See you in October!

We might not be able to play football right now but the 2020 Mussel Inn Masters is already in planning and we are looking forward to introducing a woman’s tournament to be played alongside the men’s competition this year.

So start planning your teams, calls for registration will be coming to you soon. The tournament will take place in October.

Don’t despair, there is light at the end of the tunnel ⚽️ 🔥
