Dredging operation around Narrabeen Lagoon entrance - Manly Observer Preparatory work has begun on dredging Narrabeen Lagoon entrance on either side of Ocean Street Bridge, an operation that will take several months and reduce risk of flooding.
What I find inexplicable is that councillors went to Poland to visit a waste management company. That same company then visited the Shoalhaven. But rather than enter negotiations with the company with which council was working, council entered an arrangement with an entirely different company that does not own the technology, has never delivered a waste contract and has no legal relationship with Bioelektra in Poland. Instead, council entered a contract with Bioelektra Australia and its managing director Fred Itaoui, who has seemingly come from nowhere and nabbed a contract worth millions of dollars.

The Shoalhaven City Council wasted over 2 million dollars of rate payers money on the failed bioelektra idea, they did absolutely no due diligence into investigating the background of the South Australian company going by the same name as the Polish company Bioelektra. They also did no background checks into the shonky director Fred Itaoui then sent councillors on a trip to Poland on you yes you the rate payers dollars.
