Eureka Springs is just eleven miles from the Arkansas/Missouri border, so we went north to visit Roaring River state park. We got a later start with the day, and Eureka Springs was quite loud with a biker event going on. (Side note: When Stephanie and I saw a sign saying "Noise Ordinance Enforced", we concluded that when it gets too quiet in Eureka Springs, the city sends out more motorcycles to get the decibels back up to eardrum damaging levels.)...

Stephanie and I took off this morning for a long weekend to hike and explore Eureka Springs in Arkansas, and of course the surrounding area. Last fall in early October we went to the Buffalo River area and enjoyed many trails and the fall colors and temperatures (Arkansas' summer humidity is the equivalent of carrying a fat, sweaty sheep on your shoulders at all times)....
