Starting this month, we are unlocking all of Mother Muna’s current features and making them entirely free. We firmly believe that access to resources and tools is crucial for moms to find the care they need and deserve.
By removing the paywall for perinatal care providers to access our current tools, we aim to increase visibility and ensure that our platform is accessible to all who can benefit from it.
Hold tight as we are in the process of making this change! Additionally, we are continuing to build more free and paid tools—stay tuned and let us know how we can help you!
Today is also World Maternal Mental Health Day. exists to raise awareness of maternal mental health issues so that more women will get treatment and fewer will suffer. My hope is that Mother Muna can be a tiny ripple in these efforts. Moms, you are not alone.
When I started the process of figuring out where I wanted to focus my energy, I started building out a platform to support working parents. After talking to so many new parents, I realized I needed to start at the beginning and that’s when Mother Muna was born and our directory continues to grow with incredible perinatal providers.
For the past few months, we’ve been working on some updates and new features to further support professionals supporting mothers.
I’m excited to come full circle and start highlighting more providers who offer specific support for working parents. We have a few therapists and coaches in our directory already, but I’d love to know and follow more on IG—please tag or DM me your faves!

The postpartum recovery period is a time of great change for new mothers. One way to help navigate this time is to use the 5-5-5 rule in postpartum recovery planning.
Some families use a 5-5-5 rule that consists of just 5-day increments, this article suggests a 5-day, 5-week, and 5-month outline for postpartum planning.
Thankfully, I can look back on my story and postpartum journeys and have fond memories and feelings.
We lived away from family, had our second baby during the Thomas Fire, and our third during the first lockdown, but I still felt loved and supported.
I had a partner who was all in, who read and re-read more books and articles than I did, and always checked in on me. We had everything we needed, but I now know it could have been even better.
In all of our reading and research, the perinatal care that I’ve come to know never came up as essential, accessible, or even “normal”.
I want to help change that for other moms. I want to help parents be more resourced, help providers be more discoverable, and normalize care for mom first.
