For years, Dr. Deborah Thomson, DVM has developed and taught lessons focused on the connection between human health and the health of animals and the environment (a concept called One Health). She is passionate about the science field and her One Health lessons have been taught in public schools, private schools, and online. Based on teacher feedback, the lessons have inspired over 2,000 children around the world to consider a future in science. Her 7 free age-appropriate COVID-19 lessons (found at OneHealthLessons.com) are currently being translated into over 70 languages (including Urdu) by over 400 volunteers.

Besides launching the Global One Health Education Movement, Dr. Thomson is a veterinarian, educator, an award-winning public speaker and musician, and has served as a Science Policy Advisor in the United States Congress in Washington, D.C. where she focused on the response to the COVID-19 pandemic (and prevention of future pandemics), public health, global health, climate change, and other One Health topics.

Before becoming a veterinarian, she taught music in a primary school and was a full-time instructor of English Language Learners between the ages of 11 and 65. Throughout veterinary school and for years after graduation, she never lost her passion for teaching. With these lessons, she combines her two passions: One Health and primary/secondary school education.

To provide awareness regarding Rabies, IVSA Pakistan, Faisalabad is organizing an online Facebook live session on 28th September, at sharp 8 pm. The theme is Rabies and it's perception in society. Dr. Adnan shoukat, graduate of DVM from University of Agriculture Faisalabad. (RVMP) and a member WVPA would be joining us as a guest. Momina Ahsan, Secretary Human Resources would be moderating the session.

IVSA Pakistan, Faisalabad team and IVSA Mumbai teams organized an virtual Cultural Exchange. In this exchange, both countries shared the message of love, peace and harmony. Different topics were presented from both sides and common diseases were discussed.

Cultural Exchange had three segments basically,

IVSA Pakistan Faisalabad team and IVSA Mumbai team had a meetup. The Core team interacted with each other and decided the strategy for online cultural exchange. The meeting was fruitful and the points were cleared out.
