For me, one of the joys of living in Vietnam is exploring the back roads and remote mountains. Here's a couple of scenes taken from the tiny town of Ta Phin, about an hour northwest of Sapa, a former French hill station near the Chinese border. This is where you'll find the highest mountains in Indochina. Ta Phin is at the base of Mount Pu Ta Leng; at 10,003 feet, it's the second highest mountain in Vietnam.
