Today marks our last action as Animal Rebellion.
It’s been an absolutely incredible journey over the past few years, and we’ve come further than we ever could have hoped. The climate movement has been transformed to finally, almost unanimously, recognise and advocate for ending animal farming as part of the urgent action needed for us to mitigate the worst effects of the climate crisis.

We have come such a long way and are so grateful to every single person who has ever taken action with us, or taken on a support role, to every group that has welcomed us into this space and continues to fight every single day, to every social media supporter, to every person who has donated to help this movement keep going.

This is the end of our time as Animal Rebellion, but the journey for animal, nature and climate justice continues… the world is changing, and we cannot wait for this new era of animal advocacy.

This weekend our Non-Violent Direct Action training resumes all around the country. At the Liverpool training on Sunday the 2nd April, and Newcastle on Sunday the 9th, there will be British Sign Language Interpreters present. Please share with anyone that this might help!

ON TRIAL FOR CARING FOR ALL LIFE

Today trials begin of supporters of Animal Rebellion and Just Stop Oil.

Morgan and Marcus will appear at Basildon Crown Court after spending MORE than 150 days in prison on remand for climbing the QEII Bridge last October to demand no new fossil fuels.

Meanwhile, 5 others will go before a jury at Southwark Crown Court after dyeing the fountains at Buckingham Palace red in 2021.

All of this less than a week after the latest IPCC report was released. It makes it crystal clear we need urgent and immediate action to prevent catastrophic climate breakdown and loss of all we hold dear.

These trials are nothing more than a distraction from the real issue: the need to end fossil fuels and transition to a plant-based future.

❗️❗️CHICKEN RESCUERS FOUND NOT GUILTY OF THEFT ❗️❗️

⚠️Alexandra Paula (from Baywatch) and Alicia Santurio rescued chickens from a truck outside Foster Farms in California with Direct Action Everywhere - and have since been acquitted of misdemeanour theft charges.

🐓💕This is a huge win for all animal rescuers, and for all beings who are exploited in our food system. Like all of us, Alicia and Alexandra could not stand by and see animals suffer. These two animal lovers’ brave open rescue has meant that two beautiful chickens, named Ethan and Jax, will now be able to enjoy freedom and compassion and live long happy lives.

The fight against factory farming is winning in criminal trials! Now is the time to step up and join the fight for animal justice in order to protect all life on this planet. We have a better alternative! A plant based future! 💚🌏🌱🐠🐾

At the end of March 2018, Dominion was released, sharing the realities of modern animal farming in Australia to the world. Inspired and outraged, thousands took to the streets in April of the same year, demanding an end to the unjust system of animal exploitation.

Now, five years on from the release of Dominion, it’s time to unite again.

On Saturday April 8th, join Farm Transparency Project and Dominion: Documentary to bring the message of animal rights to the heart of Melbourne CBD in a peaceful, powerful march for justice. The march with start at 4pm at the State Library Victoria.
