One of the most challenging aspects of healing is the commitment needed to create change.
Change can be intimidating. Here's some ideas to help a long the way:
✅Get an accountability buddy who is also on a healing journey too, and schedule regular check-in's. Nothing too serious, just a time to connect and share. Quick, often and avoiding advice giving can feel really supportive and sustainable.
✅Choose S-M-A-R-T goals (google for more info) so you can get some lived experience of success. Setting super lofty and unrealistic goals is a common way for self-sabotage to sneak in.
✅Be honest with your care providers and people in your network. Where are you really at? People-pleasing (fawning) is a common strategy when stressed. Your care providers are genuinely invested in your healing, it's okay to be straight up with us!
✅Keep it simple. Some people have the tendency to put too much on their plate, even if it is a lot of the "good stuff". Try refining goals so you are just trying to make progress in one or two synergistic areas. Too much too quick = overwhelm.
✅Choose to build your skillset when things don't go as planned. "Failing", "mistakes", "blowing it"... that's all part of the journey. Learning to be present with the sensations and experiences of these so called "bad" behaviours is a key🔑 to unlock the door to where you want to go. Foundational nervous system stuff is great here, like our friend and colleague @irenelyon

🔸Osteopathy is a new offering at The Health Creation Lab. We love this hands-on musculoskeletal technique because it is a gentle, yet effective whole-person approach that works with the body to find new lengths, reduced tension, more mobility and more relaxation. 🔸Consider osteopathy if you have a history of head trauma/concussion, chronic pain, pelvic malalignment, reduced range of motion (ex. shoulder check, reaching overhead, bending over) or chronic gut issues. 🤔Feeling curious, and wondering if osteopathy is for you? ✅✅Book a discovery session with Jonny to ask questions and hear more about his approach. . . . . . . #osteopathy #thehealthcreationlab #osteopathyworks #osteopathycanada #osteopathysarnia #osteopathytreatment #sarnia #sarnialocal #osteopathysupport

💡Behold the wood's lamp! This snazzy tool is an ally in understanding acne. 💡This lamp emits differing wavelengths of light which causes different bacteria and fungi to glow with different colors. 💡Very cool. 😀😀When we are examining acne we want to see if there is a bacterial, fungal, or mixed presentation. 💡Our strategies will differ depending on what fluorescent colors we see. 🔴🟠🟡🟢🔵🟣🟣⚫️ . . . . . . #acne #acnetreatment #acnetips #acnepositivity #acneproblems #woodslamp #woodslampanalysis #woodslamptest #acnecommunity #acneskincare #acnefree #acnetreatments #sarniaontario #naturopathsarnia #thehealthcreationlab #sarnialocalbusiness #sarnialocal
