Ikaw, Anong Kwento Mo?
"Ikaw, Anong Kwento Mo?" is an advocacy project serving as a call for awareness and action for GBV.
Greetings! Before our advocacy project comes to an end, we are reminding individuals who are part of the LGBT community that it is highly encouraged to participate in the implementation of our project by answering the questions that are in the Google form (https://forms.office.com/r/9AT3yNfEVr). The Google form will only be open until April 27, 2023 (6:00 p.m.), and it is our commitment to ensure that even though the responses that we will be receiving will be included on our website, we assure everyone that the personal details of the participants will remain anonymous and will be strongly kept confidential.
Also, we are asking everyone to visit our website (https://srap2advocacyproje.wixsite.com/my-site/about-us) to learn about the different dimensions of gender-based abuse and violence.
The Power of Confidence and Positivity Against the Swords of Gender-Based Abuse, Violence, and Discrimination
There are times when violence is used as a way of expression, but that is not an excuse to normalize and tolerate actions and words that we know are hurtful to others, such as the benign jokes and slurs that LGBT individuals receive. With that, as individuals, all of us have the responsibility to be mindful of our words and actions, as this influences the perspective of others towards themselves. In line with this, here are some tips for building trust and confidence in yourself and not succumbing to the unjust and unethical actions and words of others. This also serves as a reminder for all of us that despite our differences in gender, s*x, etc., one of the greatest accomplishments that allows us to feel freedom is choosing to be ourselves in a world that is constantly trying to make you someone else that you are not.
With that, we also ask you to give our website a visit (https://srap2advocacyproje.wixsite.com/my-site), where you will be able to find more information regarding gender-based abuse, violence, and discrimination.

In lieu of our project’s objectives, we are encouraging individuals who are part of the LGBT community to participate in the implementation of our project by answering the questions that are in the Google form (https://forms.office.com/r/9AT3yNfEVr). The responses that we will be receiving will be included on our website, and we assure everyone that the personal details of the participants will remain anonymous and will be strongly kept confidential.

A safe space
In a world where unethical and unjust actions such as abuse and violence linger, how do we foster and reclaim safe spaces for the LGBTQ+ community? Until now, the LGBTQ+ community has faced alarming rates of gender-based violence and discrimination. Cases of micro-aggressions, murder, and s*xual violence concerning LGBTQ+ individuals have been reported throughout the years, but despite the efforts made to address this issue, cases of gender-based abuse, violence, and discrimination towards the LGBTQ+ community have remained rampant.
With that, "Ikaw, Anong Kwento Mo?" is an advocacy project that aims to raise awareness regarding gender-based abuse and violence directed towards the LGBTQ+ community that is prevalent within and across the country. To know more about what the advocacy project is all about, we encourage you to give our website a visit, where you can learn more thoroughly about what gender-based abuse and violence is all about. And as to what this project advocates, together we call for awareness regarding the issue and encourage taking action on the injustices that are prevailing in society.
