Hindu students from across the UK gathered at New College, University of Oxford, to hand out leaflets and raise awareness of racism and Hinduphobia on campus. At the tip of the iceberg is Dr Abhijit Sarkar, who has made vile comments about Hindus and Indians. While discrimination against other ethnic and religious minorities is taken seriously by British universities and other institutions, anti-Hindu bigotry seems to be ignored.
Shri Jay Lakhani has been and continues to be a huge inspiration for Hindus in the UK and across the world. He represented Hindus on national television, radio and his lectures reached the masses. Jay was always calm, composed and down-to-earth when presenting complex Hindu philosophies and Dharma in an easy to understand manner.
