Whatever the final result is we still end this season in 2nd place. Wolves have always been a bogey team for us, ever since they got promoted a few years back. Their recent form in the league hasn’t been too pretty. Their key man has been a huge miss for them. Whatever XI Ole puts out, on paper should be stronger than what Nuno can. Although the Premier on the last day...it can be a tricky one. A win tonight will be a massive confidence boost for the lads heading into the final 🔴⚪️⚫️

My Predicted XI v Wolves:

A rotated team, giving the fringe players a few more minutes. Axel to join Bailly in the back. Deano comes in for David. Full backs stay the same. Matic and DVB in midfield. And possibly bring Pogba on throughout the match. Amad on the left, Mason on the right and Mata at #10. I’d bring on Bruno for Mata, and Rashford for Cavani. Allowing all the first-team players to still get some minutes and keep fresh for the final.

Jack Rowley:
Signed for the REDS in 1937 for £3,000; Jack Rowley was one of the most feared strikers in the country at the time. He was dangerous both in the air and on the ground. Jack was nicknamed the “gunner” because of his lethal left foot. In his first season, he helped united secure a second-place finish and a first return to footballs top table since 1931. Jack Rowley served in the South Staffordshire Regiment when the war broke out.

He was a part of significant war events that took place throughout 1945, notably the D-day landing in Normandy. When football commenced in 1946, Jack resumed his career at United. In 1948 Rowley was a mainstay in Sir Matt Busby’s FA cup winning side. Playing as part of the ‘famous five’ forward line he scored two goals against Blackpool that day to bring home the clubs first FA cup trophy in 39 years. In 1952 Jack Rowley formed a formidable partnership with Scotsman Jimmy Delaney.

Rowley scored 30 league goals that season helping United to the first division title for the first time since 1911. Jack Rowley left United to join Plymouth Argyle as a player-manager, retiring as a player two years later.
He retired from management in 1969 to run a post office/newsagent in Oldham.

Fred and Paul in the #6 spots. Altogether Pogba should play more advanced closer to Bruno as a second #8. And the same front three from the last match.

With the final home game v not far off, this is arguably our best chance at cementing 2nd spot. Having fans back inside since March last year will be a huge boost for the team.
The lads can finish the season on a positive. Winning the last two league games and bring home a f**kin European trophy will be good enough for me.

Too many errors leading to goals, the team pretty much handed them 3 goals today. 😤 A lot of the things fans have been crying out about the current squad looks to have come to light in the past 2-3 games.
We are short of first-team quality on the bench and the field. A few of the players who started tonight shouldn’t be starting for next season.

Maguire was a huge miss in the back. Both CB’s not commanding enough and looked lost every time they had the ball.
We can only hope that we get great quality additions to the squad for next season.

Disappointing result, but we move on. Second place is still in our hands. Let’s finish this season on a high 🔴⚪️⚫️

Another home defeat. That’s five (5) losses this season, all happened at Old Trafford. Not the type of stat we want if we’re going to be serious title contenders.

Two starts and debuts for and . Both started well, showing desire, good work rate and really good skill on the ball. They both impressed me, however, the match intensity and lack of top-level football were evident come the 50-60min mark. Disappointed with the loss, but we’re still in 2nd four points ahead of Leicester.

George Best:
Speed, agility and close control to name a few amazing attributes that made Best stand out from the rest. Dubbed the ‘greatest player in the world by non-other than Pelé himself. The then united no.7 could create chances and score from seemingly impossible situations.

Best was a key figure in the United Trinity, aka the Holy Trinity. Best alongside Bobby Charlton and Danis Law won Man United their first even European cup in 1968 v Benfica.

George Best sadly passed away in November 2005. ❤️
