In between virtual counseling sessions, we dig, we build, we hope, we pray, we cry, we bleed, we work our stress out. ONE SMALL STEP AT A TIME!
It’s going to be a farm Christmas this year!
Today had a special visit from taking a tour of our farm! We are so excited to bring our support to the special and have felt at home since we first attended the city council meeting in June before closing on the property!
What do we do on the farm when it snows? Build a snowman of course! ⛄️
Paint on my lips and mud on my boots. Feels good to get messy!
The beautiful colors of fall on the farm!
Peaceful sleeping baby, fire golden leaves, perfect fall day on the farm 🍁
Farm hair, don’t care. Today we BUILT FENCE!
Sometimes things just come together. Other times it’s a tooth and nail struggle. We have been on this journey for 6 months since we first stepped foot on this 2.5 acre property. It’s daunting, but if we don’t try to make this world a better place, who will?
Working hard together as a family on this chilly fall day 🍂
BIG things happening at the farm for us 🥰 Little by little, progress is made. When you have 2.5 acres to develop and 5800 sq ft to renovate….it will take lots of…

Fell deeper in love with this farmer & new farm life ✅
Had an epic tour of Wasatch Community Gardens’ farm today, location of their job training program for unsheltered women. So cool to see a multi-purpose driven organic farm in action!
Grief is an interesting thing.
Losing a baby, losing a child, losing a loved one.
Grief is anchored in the connection.
We grieve because we love.
We don’t know who we are anymore.
We have to start from square one. Learn to talk, walk, and interact with the world again as a new person.
Who am I?
What is this world I live in?
I cannot trust this world, God, the universe, others, or even myself.
How will anything ever make sense again?
As I support others on their grief journey, my goal is to help others grieve well so they can live and love well in their lifelong journey of mourning.
Thank you to artist Robyn Munro for generously creating this stunning portrait for The Wellness Farm. As we prepare to honor Everly’s would be fifth birthday, it’s a powerful way to keep our connection alive with our sweet baby girl.
Yesterday we invited a few family members and friends over for mandala pumpkin painting and meditation during the eclipse.
Our first time having guests over at our farm and it was a powerful experience to share together and also celebrate Angie’s birthday!
Angie shared about the history of the mandala and how it was used as a meditative practice, that it mimics repetitive and consistent patterns in nature such as the heart beat.
This is the start to many future intimate gatherings where we can connect, relax, reflect, and rejuvenate!
Connection.
Human beings need connection.
To self, to others, to nature.
The power of “someone who gets it” is a unique type of experience.
At The Wellness Farm, connection is what it’s all about.
To self, to others, to nature.
Met a sweet 35-year-old horse today, same age as me! I had the opportunity to meet her at a continuing education training at Millcreek Meadows, an equine therapy center in Salt Lake.
My little farm boy loves to be the biggest helper! Measuring out a few parking stalls so our neighbors and friends can come and play!!
Visited a friend’s farm this past weekend and got some insight into how to manage a garden, livestock, and planning out a property. Also got to make friends with this darling guy.
Clearing out a field today and found this sweet bunny who gave its nutrients to the soil. The circle of life is ever so present on a farm.
Our future gardner and wife of the soon to be ranch hand testing out the hammock.
Our neighbor has an orchard and a vineyard and invited us over to pick some fruit. Juicy peaches? Yes please!
Farmhouse inspiration!
This guy…. Nuff said!
Today visiting the Murray Greenhouse Foundation to learn about other care farms in our area.
What is a care farm?
A care farm is a location which utilizes agriculture and farming for therapeutic services and/or job training purposes for vulnerable populations. Exciting to dream about The Wellness Farm and all it could be.
Just a lil neighborhood walk. Our property is just behind those trees. I know what you’re thinking…. This is in Salt Lake County? Yup. 5 minutes from IKEA.
Billions of ideas. Here is the house as is. 5800 sq ft and we plan to renovate top to bottom. It is a learning curve for a city & school girl to learn the lingo of architecture, engineering, farming, building, irrigation, agriculture, and who knows what else. 🐓🐴🐐🐖🚜🛻
Moving dirt and making roads! 2.5 acres and the options are endless! Thanks to our amazing handyman who grew up on farm and grandpa Mark for lending us some big toys! 🚜
We’re testing out our new bell tent from White Duck Outdoors, and getting excited to practice yoga in such an amazing setting! More coming soon!
We tore down the old white wood fence and hope to repurpose the wood for something special at the farm.
