Local volunteering parents cooking school meals for their children in Supar, Chitwan.
In Nepal, we are trying to support an indigenous community through feeding their school children. The Chepang people are among the most impoverished and marginalized people in the country, without citizenship or civil rights, food, water and electricity.
Two days a week we provide meals for around 108 children. A gas burner has now been provided, and we are aiming for 3 weekly feeding with your support. Soon monsoon will start, and we need to supply with groceries that can last a month because transport will be difficult in the mountain area.

Good news from Nepal! ACT4Nepal is expanding swiftly and the school children in Chitwan are fed twice a week thanks to committed benefactors.
โ๐ง๏ธAs monsoon is approaching it will be difficult to collect firewood. In order to keep up with future demands we want to set up a basic kitchen with a gas burner .
A gas burner, 2 cylinders and accessories (pipes etc.) will amount to 90 USD / 84Euros
One meal for 108 children is 42 Euros / 45 USD
We invite you all to please help us continue our work by donating on our link . Our main aim is to keep the children fed every day of the week. Please use our ACT4Nepal donation link

The feeding continues in Supar, Chitwan. ๐๐๐ฅ
The schoolchildren are now provided with food twice a week Monday and Thursday , but our aim is to be able to give food every day because it is not possible to learn something on an empty stomach. this week 202 plates of food were served.
Also plans for setting up a school kitchen are underway . That means providing two gas burners so that the school will have capacity to cook every day. You can see that the food is prepared on a fire pit now.
Your support is essential and will be greatly appreciated ๐

Enjoy this short but sweet video and see the beautiful smiles ๐ on the faces of *108 children* served a weekly school dinner in *Supar village, Chitwan, Nepal.*
This surely brings contentment, as many children attend school to receive food their parents cannot provide. The added benefit is that they also receive an education, which will hopefully enable them to create better lives for themselves. ๐๐๐
Our aim is to be able to provide daily food for the children. If you would like to support us please use the donation link:

Providing school meals can lead to:
1. **Improved Health and Nutrition**: Regular meals ensure that children receive the necessary nutrients for their physical and mental development.
2. **Increased School Attendance**: The promise of a meal can motivate parents to send their children to school, leading to higher attendance rates.
3. **Enhanced Learning Ability**: Proper nutrition is linked to better concentration, memory, and overall cognitive function.
We are happy to announce that the 1st weekly annadan for 106 children from Chepang community took place May 16th.
ACT4HUNGER in Nepal had the pleasure to feed the schoolchildren from Supar in the Chitwan District.
The children were happy to be treated with a hot meal and a big apple each. Many of them live on the mountain where there is scarcity of food and water, and would need to walk for hours to attend school.
Our aim is to continue feeding little tummies weekly and if you like to support us, please use our donation link https://www.peoplesfundraising.com/donation/nepal
March 1st 2024 Volunteers from ACT Foundation Nepal visited Manabsewa Ashram for mentally challenged people in Bharatpur, Chitwan. They conducted the signature meditation of Mohanji called "Power of Purity" in Nepali language for 46 participants.
Fruit juice and snacks were distributed after the meditation.
Mohanji Nepal occasionally supports the Ashram in various ways, like Annadan, t-shirt distribution, meditation, etc.
Read Suveethas โค๏ธheart warming testimonial on her experience volunteering in ACT Nepal setting up a dental hygiene awareness workshop.
My experience volunteering for the Mohanji Nepal team this year especially interacting with the Chepang people was incredible.
The kind of response from this simple, contended and joyful community was an eye-opening experience. Their overwhelming love while receiving the donations as well as their interaction during the Dental Hygiene workshop transformed my own perspectives on gratitude for the small joys of life.
It was deeply transformative experience in terms of grace, love and gratitude imbibing the practical applications of Mohanji's teaching.
Would definitely recommend more people to experience this joy of seva with the Mohanji Nepal team๐

ACT Nepal would like to support an orphan who is going to have a surgery on December 4th to prevent the spreading of cancer in his leg.
ACT Nepal have visited Tribhuwan many times in Hoperising Childrens home where he lives with 30 other orphans.
We have provided basic food and Mohanji T-shirts.
All the children are fathered by one single person, Mr. Nandarishi Acharya who is doing a great job, but money is often scarce, and an unforeseen event like a surgery is detrimental and will be very hard to pay without our help.
All your kind contributions towards the betterment of Tribhuwanโs condition are very much welcome ๐

ACT4Nepal wildfire catastrophe help. ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ
A jungle wildfire in a rural village called Arghaundi of Adhikhola made a family of 7 people and 3 generations homeless. Their house was one of 2 houses that burned to the ground.
In this family the father is the sole breadwinner. Though working hard as a road worker his salary can barely feed the family, let alone build a new house. They now depend on neighbours and friends.
Please help us support the family with buying materials to re-construct their house.
The monsoon is soon starting (in July), and they would have an even harder time . The reconstruction must start soon. ๐ง๏ธโ๏ธ
Please use the link to make a donation of your own choice, so that the elderly and children can be protected during the monsoon. Thank you ๐

ACT Foundation Nepal had a variety of activities the last month.
Reading from the Bhagavad-Gita and singing bhajans is an example of our activities in a senior's home in Kathmandu.
More than just providing food to people, we try to bring a smile to their face and make our visit a visit to remember with our interactions.
We have also been providing fruits to another ashram.
Smiling faces is the greatest reward you can get ๐
2 ACT Foundation Nepal volunteers visited a home for 15 seniors in Katmandu and served food for them.

Hello everyone ๐ณ๐ณ๐ณ
Here is an update from the Fruit Tree Plantation Drive in Barbhanjyang, Thankot jungle.
The 24 trees are thriving and are being cared for by local authorities. They water the plants and now they are building a bamboo fence for protection of the saplings.
The place is going to be a part of a picnic park for people to gather with their families. It is not easy to find space in Kathmandu and people enjoy every opportunity to meet in nature.
A day of fun and laughter ๐๐ in Hope Rising Children Home
Saturday March 25th ACT4Nepal volunteers visited Hope Rising Children Home in Lalitpur to donate some food, snacks and games for the forthcoming holiday and end of exams.
First the kids did Mohanji's Freedom meditation ๐ง๐ปโโ๏ธ๐ง๐ฝโโ๏ธ which is suitable for children, and then it was time for playing.
All the โญtalented kids showed their wonderful skills in the Musical ball game โฝ
We enjoyed both dancing, chanting and skipping together. As a finale they did some light yoga.
All children are unique and we all have something to give to the world! This we will find out when we love and respect each others uniqueness.
We left with a sense of gratitude and we felt more rich inside than when we came ๐ฅฐ

First they each had some fruits, banana, orange and sweet grapes, which they all wanted more of. ๐๐๐
Sunita had brought her karaoke microphone ๐ and the fun started when all joined the singing of old time favorite bhajans. For those not able to leave their bed, Sunita visited their room singing ๐ถ
We had to force ourselves to go home in the end, because all the parents wanted us to stay longer ๐

A group of five ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ฉ๐๐ฅ volunteers travelled to Chitwan to donate food to the Chepang Community, who live in the hard to reach ๐๏ธ mountain areas. The only way we could get there was by tractor ๐ because the road was very narrow, steep, and dangerous, full of blocks and road slides.
We reached a hilltop where 80 families patiently waited for us and the food. 6 months of the year, the community has no crops and has to find food in the forest ๐ณ๐ฟ. So, the rations of rice, dhal, and cooking oil were received with genuine gratitude ๐.
Also, the children had dental kits๐ชฅ๐งผ and soap donated by participants from the Mohanji Puri retreat ใฝ๏ธ
A few of the women had *Mai-Tri treatment*, plus we brought medicine against dehydration.
For future visits, we would like to arrange a proper health camp and bring in some health personnel. ๐ฉ๐ปโโ๏ธ๐ฉบ

Saturday March 11th we were invited to visit an orphanage on Sifal Ground in Kathmandu for 60 kids in all ages. Around 14 of them had mental or physical challenges.
The children greeted us outside in their school yard which was under construction.
Inside their hall we had lots of fun with musical sing-along entertainment provided by ACT volunteer Sunita.
Next was a sari dance which made the kids very exited. Everyone from toddlers to teenagers enjoyed the beautiful colours, the movements and the play.
We concluded the seance with Mohanji's Freedom Meditation and a snack.
