Spreading music to the World They set out to create stories through music that dramatically connect across a wide range of narrative and emotional paradigms.
in making original music regardless of genre boundaries, conventional expectations or fickle industry trends. Within a couple of months of their formation, the band won a local battle of the bands contest, one of the prizes being a 2-hour headline slot at Worcester's Marrs Bar. For the headline gig, the band decided to do something a bit different by staging an original rock opera, Razorblade World complete with actors and back-screen projections. The show was so well-received that the band was then given the use of the spectacular historical venue Huntington Hall to recreate the show on a larger scale, this time with increased interest from the press attracting an audience from across the UK. At this stage the band recorded Burn This Dream, an EP whose tracks have been featured on BBC radio also various other radio and internet radio stations worldwide. Da Vinci felt the need to get somebody on board to help out with the day to day running of things and asked Andrew Cave to become their manager.
2014 has been an epic year so far with Da Vinci supporting "Queen Alive" on numerous occasions and being asked to play at "Party in the Park Unsigned 2014". The band have been nominated by Robin walker MP for Worcester to represent Worcester in "Rock the House", a competition with many patrons such as Alice Cooper, Brian May, Young Guns, Ian Gillan, Rick Wakeman, Mark Hoppus, Charlie Simpson, Matt Tuck, Don Broco, Yngwie Malmsteen, Steel Panther, Scott Gorham, All Time Low and Bernie Marsden. Now the studio recording of the epic anthems and emotionally powerful songs from Razorblade World has begun and the band anticipate a double-CD (and hopefully vinyl) album release date early in 2015 to coincide with a live DVD of the Huntington Hall show.
