Why onehalfteaspoon?
When thinking of a name for the business, at first I was going with the cliche of putting my name in there like "Hipo Desserts". But as I was working through the graphics I found one of my late Ninang Tess' old teaspoons.
Backstory, Ninang Tess is the whole reason I bake and my most treasured memories as a kid were of Ninang baking and me standing by to lick the spoons clean and raid her choc chip and mini marshmallow containers. So it would only make sense to make my efforts here a tribute to her.
"Let's use the teaspoon in the graphics", "Let's make the 'T' in teaspoon stand for Tess", "Let's make it 1/2 so it could be like I'm the other half of the story that Ninang started". And so it started with Ninang Tess, and continues through me.
At the end of it all, it doesn't need to make sense to anyone else.
