Robyn Arango Loves Cooking
I love to cook, and to share tips and ideas. Totally amateur, cooking at home, and happy to help those who are new to home cooking from scratch.
Reviving the Friday night homemade pizza tradition. I make dough and prep ingredients, Serena assembles, and Clay bakes. We use Wolfgang Puck's pizza dough recipe (and sub in Bob's Red Mill artisan flour) Guarantees at least an hour or so of the family together 🍕👨👩👧
Charcuterie!
This is what happens when I read a cookbook before breakfast! 👩🍳🍳🥑🥖
Cross cultural breakfast: Japanese rolled egg sliced over kimchi and ratatouille, with parmesan, scallions and shichimi togarashi 👩🍳
Would you like to try Jerusalem artichokes? Since the world didn't run out of food in 2020, we have way more than we can use! They are a tuber, like a potato, but with a nutty flavor reminiscent of artichoke hearts. Boil, fry, or roast them. Their inulin content can cause some gas, easily remedied by boiling the chokes in lemon water before cooking. Messenger me to arrange pickup.
I'm corning beef today!
Finally making Harissa paste 🌶 thanks for the recipe link, Bob Rapp!
We have been learning some Indian dishes. Clay made the paneer cheese, and I made Matar Panir (peas and fried cheese balls). The curry was an ad-libbed dish with tofu, cauliflower, and garbanzos. And the naan is made with our sourdough starter...so yummo with chutneys we have canned!
Serena's cookie decorating is going next level! Fun mother/daughter project ❤
I made cinnamon rolls at my mom's special request...so yummy!
