π A cheesey day in Paoli, WI
Paoli has been on our radar for a while, and it sure delivered. We had so much fun, and we canβt wait to go back and make it a weekend trip!
We started our day hiking the Ice Age Trail - Montrose Segment. This segment takes you through the tops of farm fields with some gorgeous views.
Then we refueled at for lunch! A historic creamery turned Cafe, Inn, and Restaurant. They are also still creating butter for Landmark Creamery!
Our next spot, visiting . We took home the Pecora Nocciola. The creamery focuses on a unique cheese blend of sheep and cows milk. It also has sandwiches!
Then to end our lovely day, we visited . A restored mill filled with local shops, food and drinks. We grabbed a drink, found a spot along the sugar river and danced to the band!
In this splendid little town, almost everything we did was in a few blocks. Which makes it a great place to unwind and relax.

The highlight of our day. We almost felt like we were entering Disney World as we stepped onto the property. The grounds are beautiful and our tour guide was fantastic. On the tour we learned a lot about an amazing woman named Margie Samuels - be sure to look her up. At the end of the tour we purchased some bottles and even dipped the famous red wax on them. There are a lot of distilleries in the Bourbon belt, but Makerβs Mark needs to be on your list.
