Good morning all from a sunny Castle Combe Circuit, Today is just our test day but will still be aiming towards some certain times out there today. Over this weekend with NG Road Racing for the Grand National, we only have #87 Racing but the rest of the team will be here to support. He will be racing in Mini Twins and the Super Twins so just an added class as it’s our most known track. 🏁

We were not expecting to get them in time for this Race meet but thankfully they made it happen. We were able to pick up on our way to the track! Brands Hatch Test Day #87

Today started very hot for us here at brands hatch, practice in the morning started with lap times of a 57.7 consistently. So saying that our best lap here the last time we had raced here two years ago was a 54.5. straight Into the afternoon he was able to gain onto a few others and reach a 56.4, we ended up missing the last session as just got very tired from being out in the sun all day so that was the best decision to go into tomorrow fresh, this means heading into this weekend we have already made up time so hoping to match or get better than the times from before the accident. 🏁

Sunday Race Day🌟

After a really good evening with our paddock neighbours 🍻 ( you know who you are) and some rain here at Pembrey Circuit, this morning started dry, luckily for us stayed dry for our Races too. Our Best lap from Saturday was a 1.07.8 so the aim was to get that down and place within the Top 10.

Race 21-
Grid 12 start gained a great start, coming out of the first corner already gaining 3 places. Had some great fun with fellow rider (123) always pushing each other to get the best times👍 Overall we could see #87 feeling way more comfortable with the bike and just the race in general. So coming into the penultimate lap, got pushed out coming into honda which had lost us a place, but ended up doing the best lap time of a 1.07.3‼️which is exactly what was wanted. ALSO finishing 10th in Mini Twins Class.
Well done again to #87 for this achievement as it’s our first top 10 since the accident 👏🏁

Race 31-
For this race we had chose to have a little rethink as the confidence was getting too much, we needed to calm and remember the goals as some moves were a bit tight to watch from the pit wall 🤣
Started 13th on grid, another great start meant 87 was able to settle early in the race and concentrate on the goals in hand, setting the pace for the second group became a close back and forth place changes, 87 remained dominant and felt smooth and at one with the bike a little more, fitness slightly let this race down but you always need something to focus on.
Really looking forward to Brands Hatch now where we will still be aiming to remain in the top 10 if we can and hit the goals, set to progress his riding with the body changes.

Saturday Race Day🌟 #87

Timed Qualifying-
Started the day with new front/rear tyres.We had focussed on better markers for the breaking, also adjusted our riding position in this session out which overall gained a time of 1.07

Race 10- Mini Twins
Grid 12, great grid start but stayed out of the hussle of the first corner which put us in 14th in class, working through the race to progress on a few riders moving up to 12th then to 11th on the 2nd to last lap, managed to hold this position to make it an 11th place finish in class overall good day with very nice weather conditions.

Morning all from a Sunny Pembrey Circuit started the day with a free practice which knocked off 5 seconds from yesterdays test day! So starting the day with 1.10 being our best Lap which is around 6 seconds off last years lap times, Hoping for more of that today.

Only #87 riding this weekend will see #183 back at the next round

Sunday round up at Cadwell Park
#87

Starting Race 13 P28 on grid the aim was to focus on times and not places today, for the times of 1.52 but lots of aches going round so had to pull back a little but still good race. Quite a negative headset after this race but once we’d had a sit down and chat we were all ready for the next race. Placed 21st in class and 28th overall.

Starting Race 23 P24 on grid, a really good start to this race gained a few spaces, just getting into the rhythm of the race there was an incident which was rad flagged so finished on lap 5 so overall placed 18th in class and 22nd overall.

Onto Pembrey next! See you in a few weeks! 🏁

Race 13: Started at P14 on the grid and pulled off a new PB of 1:46 and finished at P9 in class gaining several positions with some great battles.

Race 23: Began at P10 on the grid with a great start gaining multiple places. Unfortunately, the race ended early due to a red flag which concluded the race. Awaiting results but believe the finish was at P9 in class.

Overall a great weekend, great results and bringing home some silverware from Race 2 Newcomers! See you at Pembrey 🏁

No Friday practice
Today Started with Timed Qualifying starting at around 1.58, with some very smooth laps out to take the finish with a qualifying lap of 1.57.

Race 2 started with 14 on grid an alright start with some good battles throughout the race to make a finishing lap with P14 overall and P13 in class running a 1.49.

183 also ended up racing in the Newcomers race at the end of the day starting P7 on grid finishing in P2 in class. Which means they’ll be a trophy! Big well done

Hope everyone had a good Easter weekend 🐣 Not long till our next round at CADWELL PARK CIRCUIT UK

Saturday Overview (Oulton Park)

Morning started with free practice but with the on and off rain we decided to take a miss on this one as didn’t want to have to change tyres non stop.

Race 2- Had to make a change to wet tyres before for this race with hail on the other side of the track it was certainly wet enough, Started 6 on grid and finished 10th in class 14th overall with a great lap time of 2.08.8 since the best lap on racing two years ago here was a 2.03 so definitely a good outcome.

Race 11- with a quick change to dry tyres, luckily it stayed dry for the whole race. Started 10 on grid and finished 13th in class 17th overall but with a best lap time of 2.04.6 (consistently) which is really good to finish up the weekend at a similar time to his best here at oulton all together, getting this time was a real high of the day, did have to drop back in the last couple laps of the last race as his arm was starting to get very fatigued.

Overall brilliant results for the first proper race weekend since the accident, now onto Cadwell park in the next few weeks 🏁

Big Shoutout to Bike Torque Racing

The day before our first meet of the season at oulton park we came across a problem with our battery in 87s bike, thanks for Bike Torque Racing who on very short notice were able to provide us with a new one for which we were able to collect the next morning on our way up. We were very surprised with the size and facility of the business will definitely be using them for lots of needs throughout the season, big thanks to Fred for the excellent communication on getting this sorted. Definitely go check them out for any bike related needs racing or just road riding!

Morning all at Oulton park,

With a Test day today we have already had one session out on drys getting used to the (very bumpy) track again haven’t been here in a long while. We did miss one session due to weather being on and off so now we continue with Sessions all day then into Race day tomorrow hopefully the weather is going to hold off.

Test Day out at Castle Combe today with NG Road Racing, Wet start to the day but have just changed over to dry tyres so hopefully the weather continues so no more tyre changes are needed🤞. Only #87 out today so just a shake down of the bike to see if any adjustments are wanted before our first round of the season at Oulton Park coming up at the end of the month.

Just want to start by saying a late Happy new year to all of our and Racing family. #87 bike is awaiting a dyno as you read plus having a few last minute touches done which we will update you on shortly 🤞we are all ready for the 2024 season let’s see what it holds following last years incidents we have decided that as a team we are going into this year with a see what happens attitude to Racing wether we do all season or just a few we will decide along the way. But will still be there at every meet supporting friends and seeing what happens for us.
