2023 Boston Gala 11/05/2023

A special shout out to our dynamic YAs and their fearless leader: Auggie Bhavsar, currently a sophomore at Dartmouth College, who volunteered to join this YA program and has been helping me coordinate the group and our weekly meetings and projects!

Our dynamic YAs have been hard at work, promoting and marketing their "Second Annual AP YA Boston Chapter - Talent Contest." Using this Talent Contest as a platform to promote and raise awareness about AP, they all gave individual presentations at their respective schools (Winsor, Nobles, Sharron, Buckingham Brown and Nichols, Wayland etc), during their morning meetings ( a school wide pitch !), and also reached out to several local student clubs. In fact they also reached out to the New England Mass Arts academy to invite students to submit :-)
They also made this "cool" video to promote their contest. Completely scripted, designed, curated and produced by them:

Over the past few years, India has experienced significant environmental degredation such as water shortages, erosion and deforestation. We do our part to minimize our footprint by harvesting rain water and rerouting it into a pond, recharging bore-wells and reducing our dependency on corporation water.

Today we take the time to reflect on the small things. The cool breeze, the feeling of the warm sun on our skin and the melodic sounds of the birds as they search for their next meal. We hope you take a minute today to enjoy Mother Nature.

COVID-19 Relief Fund 12/08/2021

Message from Akshayapatra USA CEO:

Dear Akshaya Patra Supporters,
I am happy to share with you our fortnightly food relief report. As India continues to fight covid and damages caused by it, Akshaya Patra continues with it's mission of feeding our kids, and other disadvantaged people. Since the onset of covid in March 2020, we have served over *160 million meals*.
Akshaya Patra continues to identify innovative ways of making an impact by playing on it's core competency - food. One of our newer programs is *Raksha Kits to incentivize vaccination drives*. It helps overcome vaccine hesitancy due to misinformation, wage loss due to absence from work, fear of side effects, and overcoming negative communal beliefs about vaccinations in general. More details are available on page 11 & 12 of the report.
